Welcome to the weekly DIY Project Parade Linky Party! I can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!  Updates:  This past week I shared a couple of projects…

  • I’ve officially started on the family room. I’m working from top to bottom and this weekend, I started with the ceiling. Our bamboo flooring will be installed this week! This picture doesn’t show how truly bad it is. you can’t see the dingy walls, brass boob light, unpainted French doors, microwave cart with fish tank, mismatched furniture…it’s not a pretty sight but stay tuned for a floor to ceiling makeover, step by step.  {$100 Comfort Works giveaway

  • And you’re looking at my early birthday present from Mr. DIY. (Thanks, honey!)  What’s almost as good as a room makeover? A blog makeover! The DIY Show Off has a pretty new look and new design…in case you didn’t notice 😉 ! Woo hoo! We’re still tweaking a few tabs and things! A special thanks to Maximus & Ashley at A1websitepro.com! Not only did Max hold my hand through the crashed shared server and get the DIY Show Off back online, he’s the creative genius behind the scenes and Ashley created the new graphics but a familiar look. I LOVE it!

Let’s see what you’ve been up to:

Martha from Leone Design is a mom, graphic designer and new blogger and I think she can add furniture fairy Godmother to her list.  Take a look at what she’s refinished and selling while I pretend this is my shopping cart.

This two toned dresser with hepplewhite pulls is gorgeous and such an inspiration.

Pottery Barn {knock off} Easter Eggs Tutorial

This tutorial is from last year, but I wanted to share it again since the the time is right. These Easter Eggs are still in the Pottery Barn catalog but they’re also super easy to do-it-yourself.

I fell in love with a Pottery Barn vignette as I often do. This one was for Easter. The PB one is pink but I wanted yellow.

Problem:  Silk flowers/branch, pitcher, 2 bunnies = $200 for seasonal decor!
So pretty much not going to happen on my budget.
However, out of budget inspires DIY projects.
