Last week I had the honor of co-hosting the OPC’s The Better Half’s annual Before & After DIY Contest supporting Habitat for Humanity.

Supporting Habitat for Humanity with a Before & After DIY Contest

Before & After DIY Contest: It’s such an honor to partner with OPC The Better Half along with a group of DIY bloggers all summer long who are on a mission to find the very best DIY project of the past year. I’m co-hosting and choosing the winner from this week’s submissions to the Before & After Contest.

Before and After for Habitat Contest Overview:
  • Submit up to three Before & After home improvement projects each week that YOU have personally completed (no contracted jobs).
  • Re-submit projects every week since the judge changes week to week.
  • One winner will be selected by co-host and will receive a $50 gift card to Home Depot, Lowes, or Amazon (winner’s choice) and $100 will be donated to Habitat for Humanity in the winner’s honor.
  • This week’s contest runs Thursday, August 15 at 10:00 a.m. through Sunday, August 18th at midnight EST. Winner will be announced shortly after.
  • Contests run weekly from June 20th – September 22.
  • Grand prize voting starts September 26th between all the weekly winners.
  • Grand prize winner will be given a $150 gift card to HD, Lowes, or Amazon!
  • Follow OPC on FB for contest updates and features.

I apologize! I’ve been so busy with working on the demo in the dirty dinky apartment that I’m a little behind in sharing updates on the Before and After Series – Habitat for Humanity going on at One Project Closer’s The Better Half. Forgive me? Awe, c’mon – I’m covered in grime here and so sore! So here are some updates:

How can YOU help and win? Submit your pictures and a before/after story from a home improvement project you worked (no contracted jobs) sometime in the past year. Every week of the summer until September 21, a winner is selected and their story is published online. Each winner gets a $50 gift card to either Lowes, Home Depot, or Amazon, and a donation of $100 to Habitat for Humanity in the winner’s honor! There’s more! At the end of the Summer, the best submission, as voted on by readers, wins a bonus $150 gift card to one of the three stores above. You can enter your home improvement project and see who’s hosting each week HERE.
