A Sense of Design

Good morning, DIY friend!

I‘d like to introduce you to Gina of

A sense of design
A new creative DIY blog started just a few months ago but already showing some great DIY projects under her label appropriately titled DIY tutorials. My favorite is the stenciled wall tutorial
Isn’t it pretty?  It’s the same stencil I used for my daughter’s room so I might be a little biased.  Here is Gina’s beautiful result…
She also has some fabulous furniture features!

Gilded desk now – gorgeous!

Gina is not only DIY creative, she’s blog-creative too.  I LOVE this ongoing series of hers…

You’ll have to visit A Sense of Design to read the posts. I know you’ll enjoy it as much as I have reading back through them!

Wait! Are you still here or did you head over already? There’s more to see too!  One of our favorite topics, HOMES – before and after!  Here’s a sneak peek of Gina’s house.

And Then There Were Two

Meet:  Kelley from And Then There Were Two.  Kelley blogs to keep distant family up-to-date with her life and two precious little girls but today she is sharing “TWO” awesome before and after makeovers!
Kelley’s youngest needs a place to sleep to call her own in their home.  With a lot of family out of state and out of the country, a guest bedroom is also important. So, taking it away isn’t possible.  What’s a girl to do but get creative and make the best of every available corner!  This little nook…
before – rarely used office nook
(that door leads to the master bedroom)
Now that rarely used spot serves as a sleepy time area for little Magdalenne.  It might be temporary but to mom, sometimes a little time feels like forever while you’re living it. So ‘bravo’, Kelley and Chen!  This little nap nook is perfect for your little princess for now!
Great use of space!
Wanting to give the girls a place where they could play and have a world of their own, Kelley took this basement…
before
Wow!  After…
What fun!
Kelley and Chen, you’ve come up with some great solutions for your girls!  I love M’s little bedroom nook – so pretty!  And the playroom is awesome, a great spot for the girls to grow up and play in for a long time to come!  Great job!

Thank you all so much for your encouragement, support and for sharing my excitement (and Cassity’s) about my last post!  Seriously, you’re the best friends a blogger could ever hope for!  It means so much to me…I feel like someone gave me a cookie!  LOVE cookies, you guys!
