Happy Friday!
You’ve seen a sneak peek of the French doors.
Chunky baseboards have been installed.
A slipcover gives an ugly sofa a clean neutral look.
Pretty new pillows from Drop Cloth Designs.
Thrift store treasures on stand by.
Fabric for curtains ordered.
A thrifty chandelier replaces the extra gold brassy flush mount.
Still a work in progress. Thank goodness for weekends! What are you working on?
Ps. Here are some beautiful eclectic family rooms…

You make me want to do mine all over again… sigh.
Can’t wait to see it finished. You have been working so hard on it! I’m finishing up a piece of furniture, a little DIY and then it is baseball and more baseball 🙂
I really love all the colors! Can’t wait to see all the results!

Can’t wait to see it all completed! The teaser pics are keeping me at the edge of my seat!!! 😉
I am in LOVE with the big, chunky baseboards. I have so many projects in mind, but we spent the day pretending like we were on vacation. Very fun, but not very productive. 🙂
I love the beach cottage family room, too! I am looking to slipcover the sofa in my home’s family room, and the beach cottage family room gives me inspiration!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE those doors! I’m a fan of all the pillows as well.
I love the collected feel. I need to do some more collecting to get to this point, but I really hope I can acheive it someday. Also, I love those sweet pillows! The ruffled white and yellow.
OMG! I love the blue on the French doors and I uberlove the vintage handles and escutcheons! Do they actually turn?
I can’t wait to see the rest.
Thanks, Nicole! They’re actually ‘drawer knobs’, I think. They don’t turn but these French doors pull and push open/close, there is no turn mechanism in the doors. I’m not sure what it’s called – maybe a “ball catch” at the top of the doors. ? But the handles make pulling and pushing the doors open/close so much easier.
