Welcome back to the week DIY Fall Festival! You’re invited to share your fall craftiness and autumn decorating or browse the links to visit our festive blog friends already all decked out for fall! There were so many great links in last week’s Fall Festival! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful inspiring fall decorating!
This week, I took a little break from apartment renovation part 1249 to start to decorate for fall. I only decorate the dining room for fall. My DIY yarn pumpkins look so pretty on these candle pedestals. I love mixing a little aqua/teal with traditional autumn colors of golds, oranges, reds, browns…
I’m still working on a fall centerpiece, but these accents I already had on hand {vintage tin, dried flowers, candles, oval wooden tray} do the trick for now…
I’m not a fan of our current dining room light fixture, so you’ll often find me disguising it with wreaths, garland and candles. So festive and so pretty…

Love the way you have decorated your light fixture, Roeshel! Thanks for hosting!…hugs…Debbie
WOW!! It’s like a fall party extravaganza. 🙂
Just a quick question – i think i have almost the exact same light fixture. How did you put the candles in it??? I’d love to try something similar on mine.
Thankyou – you are so inspiring!
Thanks, Debbie!
Okay…I’ll try to explain. I used “s” hooks to hang a large grapevine wreath around the “bowl” part of the light fixture. At this post: https://diyshowoff.com/2012/01/01/diy-show-off-dining-room-transformation/, you can better see the candle holders I have (but I got them at a thrift shop…so no source for those)…but each base has legs, is about 10″ wide so they balance/fit secure on the “ledge” of the light fixture/grapevine wreath. I then added leaf garland (or pine after Thanksgiving or leave it just grapevine during other seasons). And decorate with pinecones, ornaments, etc. Hope that helps!!!
Hi Roeschel- loving the fall inspiration. Happy Fall!

I was wondering if you would please share with me where you purchased your wooden clock in the second picture? I absolutely love it! Thank you so much.
Best Wishes,
Mary 🙂
Hi Mary! It’s been a few years so I really don’t remember. A google search for “wine barrel clock” brought a ton that were pretty steep in price. I know I paid less than $50 (I just wouldn’t spend $200+ on a clock) but I did just recently stumble across this awesome one that’s similar: http://www.wisteria.com/Distressed-European-Wall-Clock/productinfo/W4182/. Hope that helps! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂 xoxo
