MINI transformations

Samantha from I Heart Mini caught my attention and curiosity with this note:

“I’m constantly making over my 864 sf 1950’s rancher, and any old piece of furniture I can cram in it!”

Intrigued, I checked out her projects.  I’m so glad I did!  Check out her kitchen remodel!  What a beautiful makeover and creative use of small space. This doesn’t exactly look like a mini-makeover other than the kitchen space is small but Samantha made great use of the space that she does have.  I love it!

Great job on everything, Samantha!  The kitchen is gorgeous! So many space saving solutions and it looks amazing! I love the chair all cleaned up and little foot stool re-do.  Thank you for sharing your before and after transformations!

Making a Creative Space

Creating a small space for yourself might be easier than you think.  I love this idea from Gwenny Penny.  A cluttered closet becomes a useful spot for sewing and crafts.  Click the link to see the full post.

New Sewing Closet!

Closet before and after:

Isn’t it awesome?  I have to admit that I did a double take.  The before looks like some of the closets in our house!
Gwen and her husband transformed it in just one weekend with some built-ins and paint.

Now it’s SEW organized…

Doesn’t it make you just want to dive in and organize YOUR creative space?
Thanks so much, Gwen, for sharing your creative space.
I look forward to seeing your craft and sewing projects!

Cat on a Limb

Some people have all the luck.

My kitchen remodel is taking forever.  In the meantime, look at this kitchen before and after!

Catherine from Cat on a Limb found this vintage children’s kitchen for $5 on Craig’s List.

Before:

Now it’s a fun one-of-a-kind country kitchen…

Super cute! Even cuter are the proud new owners.  See them and the cost breakdown of how that $5 find and less than $28 transformed at her country children’s kitchen makeover.

Then, just as my seasonal affective disorder is about to get the best of me (so much snow and cold, short days and did I mention cold?), I see a hint of spring!

Using Target’s version as inspiration,

Catherine created her own !

Cute “centerpiece, chandelier or mobile”.  See the tutorial and get the bird template:  Paper, String and Branches
Catherine – both projects are adorable!  You did a fantastic job!  Thank you so much for sharing your creativity!

Speaking of “Cat”…we’re getting one!  🙂  I miss Niski so much.  I work from home and days are just too quiet and lonely.  I’m used to having company.  Russ has an office cat so he’s a little more confident but I appreciate any feline parent advice.
Enjoy the weekend!
