I don’t know about you but I’m so over winter and ready for spring, flowers, warmer weather and longer days. And to help welcome spring into our home, I set about decorating the mantel to spring ahead into the next much anticipated season – spring!
Looking for a big backdrop for seasonal decor? Simply wrap a large canvas with wrapping paper or fabric. Leave it as is, attach glittery garland or a pretty wreath and you’re good to go (and super easy to swap out for every season without having to store art work, not to mention lots of options for the perfect size and coordinating colors).
Gather up those ceramic bunnies from the thrift store and give them a coat of spray paint for your spring themed vignettes.
Display a nest full of faux eggs in a bird cage…
Add a cute little birdhouse…
A mix of twigs from the yard and faux branches in a vase add a touch of spring and balance…
The tulips and daffodils aren’t poking up through the ground yet, but a fresh bouquet of spring flowers indoors will chase away the winter blahs.
Are you ready for spring?

love your spring/easter mantle – i just wish it felt like spring here!
Where did you get the “Spring” garland?
Hi Darby! I’ve actually had it for about 6-7 years so I can’t remember (it was a gift) but I do believe from a seller on etsy.com. Hope that helps!
Oh gosh I am so not ready for Spring. I just today spent 6 hours pulling weeds from my front lawn…. grrrr. I would love them if they did not truly take over the lawn in a bad way. I am thinking I will have to break down and put weed stuff on my lawn for the first time since I bought this house.
And before I can take a breath and be a tadge lazy….. here come the Dandelions…… and MORE! Scream…. lol.
Oh sorry, I am a bit crazy….. I definitely plan to copy your mantel the best I can. I love, love, love it.
haha, Sheryll! I loved every minute of the one day of spring we had today – nearly 70 degrees! Now there’s 2-4 inches of snow in tomorrow’s forecast! ::crying::
I’ll trade you snow for dandelions!

Where did you find the green birdcage for the mantle
Hi Lois! It’s been several years so I don’t remember. I have spied some pretty metal ones at Michaels recently though. Sorry I can’t be more helpful!
