I’m done! Our home is ready for Christmas! Have you been following the Holiday Home tours this week? I’ve found following the tours motivates and inspires me to get things done. Take a little time, follow along and be inspired to dig out your decor and get started or rearrange what you have going on already for a fresh new look.
Stopping by from the beautiful home of Jenna Sue Design? Welcome, friends! I love her fun style. What a pretty holiday home!
I didn’t decorate as much as previous years but I managed to juggle being a new grandma AND decorating our home for the holidays. Most of the time with a sweet little baby in my arms. If you’re a DIY Show Off reader, you’ve seen a bit of my Christmas decorating already but I’ve completed things and edited what I already had going on just a bit along with adding some new.
Touches of Joy in the kitchen:
Dining Room (Succulents & Spruce dream tree challenge for an enchanted evergreen theme):
Christmas in the living room:
I added just a touch of Christmas to the nursery/guest room with a happy colorful mini-tree…

Roeshel, your home looks amazing! I kept thinking, “Oh, did she add that for Christmas?” But then realized so much of what I love is there year round. My favorite is the wreaths on the ladder in the kitchen. Your home is so beautiful naturally. Also, I can’t forget to mention the tree. Love all the feathers you added!
Perfection, Roeshel! I’m drooling over your giant wood shelving unit and rustic island… and I still can’t believe you’re a grandma! (Congratulations!)
Hello, Roeshel!! So beautiful — I love the garland going up the stairs and the gallery wall with the gold frames ♥ I hope you are enjoying every minute with your new bundle of joy. Merry Christmas!
I just adore your home and knew I would love what you did for the holidays. I’ve finished my outside decorating, but will put up the tree this weekend. This year, so far, I am the only home in the “hood” that has wonderful, constellation-like, red and green combo Bliss lights shining onto every surface outside. Some of the gals at work didn’t even know these laser lights existed. It’s so fun to be first! (Thanks, shopping channels.) These lights are on a timer so they come on for 4 or 6 or 8 hours once you set them up and then the next evening, when I get home, they are back on again, automatically. They can flash slowly or flash fast. Or remain static and understated. Right now I have the green and red fast flashing alternately. It is so obnoxious. Kind of like a liquor store in a really bad neighborhood. Flash-flash, blink–flash-flash, blink. Exactly what I was going for!!! LOL.
I already commented, but I went back to enjoy your house some more and had one thought for an improvement. (Imagine that. I am suggesting you improve on perfection!). But here goes: Why not have a movie like It’s A Wonderful Life (but your own favorite movie) playing on your flat screen television? Just a thought.
