The Power of Paint: Paint and FrogTape (used in each project shown below) are my #1 DIY go-to materials.
When it comes to transforming our house into a home we truly love that reflects our lifestyle and personality, “do-it-yourself” projects are a great budget friendly option. Not only can the result be a gorgeous home, but each DIY accomplishment can be empowering.
Our favorite saying around here is ‘imperfection adds character’ but really, I love that DIY projects are rewarding and motivating for creating a comfortable home for my family. There are no rules. YOU can make our home the way you want it to be. Paint has played a huge part in making over our home.
I’m with you! Paint! It works wonders for relatively low cost.
Yes, I have been so inspired by your painting projects to be sure. I don’t have plywood subfloors (mine are concrete slabs), but I intend to someday (procrasination) soon get to paper bagging at least my bedroom and most likely my living room… will see how the bedroom goes first. I have so much stuff to do before I do the floors and by myself it is hard. With 8 fur kids (like having 8 two year olds), even the prep work gets delayed. Plus, you know how it goes….. I need to prep and paint the walls FIRST….. lol.
I’m all sore from priming the kitchen’s walls today, so reading this post before going to bed was just what I needed to have energy to paint tomorrow!
Hi Roeshel! Love your blog! I have a whacky question for you 🙂 I love the maxi dress you are wearing in the Power of Paint Post from 8/2….I’m looking for something like that for our fall pictures…would you mind sharing the brand?
Hi Nicole! Thank you!
Okay…I got it at a site like Zulily…meaning it’s not available right now. But I looked at the tag. It’s “Zenana Outfitters” and it’s a smocked maxi dress in charcoal grey. It’s a jersey type material…maybe you can find something somewhere similar. Good luck!
Thanks so much for your quick reply!! Happy DIY-ing!
