I love decorating for the holidays and here is a tour of what it looks like at our house this year…
The dining room (there are still a few DIY projects ‘on the list’ like securing the mantel, hanging the door, painting the vent cover on the wall but see my before and after transformation at the DIY Club using Mythic paint, Dremel and my Purdy paintbrush!)
Here was that same doorway before:
Before:
After: that dang vent is being camouflaged soon! I’ll also do a proper before and after/reveal soon.
When we bought the house…
This is how it looks today…
Now back to Christmas!
The apothecary jars with ornaments was inspired by Sarah at Th
rifty Decor Chick (thanks Sarah! I hope you don’t mind). Okay, not just inspired but completely copied but they were PERFECT for my mantel too and if you can’t believe that your home decor is an inspiration and that copying is the best form of flattery…then we all wouldn’t be sharing, right? That’s my story! However, our similar holiday color combinations however are a complete coincidence!

The back entryway (with tomato-cage Christmas tree):
And just a little Christmas cheer in the kitchen because I’m crazy and decided that not only would I attack a dining room DIY-style, but I’d tackle a kitchen makeover during the holidays (or maybe it’s really just taking longer than anticipated. Still!) …

Ok wow! Your home looks gorgeous. I have a lot of favorite things in it lol. Your dining room is stunning. And I really love how peaceful and beautiful the candles look on the table. And the white feathers are AWESOME! I want to copy that. 😉
Love all the greenery! I think my favorite room is the dining room with the wreath on the mirror – so pretty.
Everything looks so beautiful and you did such a nice job photographing it all. I'll bet it looks really great at night with just the Christmas lights on all around the house. I love that part of Christmas, turning out the lights and just enjoying the Christmas lighting.
Wow! Like a show home!
Congratulations!

Hi Roeshel,
Thank you for the Christmas tour of your home. It's lovely! I know that they aren't Christmas, but I was admiring the botanical prints.. are they a DIY project? That is something on my to-do list!
I'm emailing you an update on the package I am sending your way!
Your home looks so beautiful all decked out for Christmas!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia 🙂
Roeshel, it looks so pretty and festive!
Thanks for the home tour…now I have a lot of great new ideas…love those candles on your table. I’m having a Christmas Open House on the 16th…you love to have you join in!
Blessings,
Linda
Your house looks absolutely wonderful. I love it all…from the little tree in front of the mirror to the pine cones on the bigger tree. LOVE IT! Hugs-diana
Thank you Roeshel for your sweet comment about my kids. The kind words of all the sweet bloggers I have "met" have completely drowned out the harsh comment of one rude person. Your home is so beautiful, makes me want to run out and purchase every ornament and tree in sight.
YOur home is gorgeous. I love the dining room decor especially the dining table centerpiece. Meyy Christmas!
Your greener looks wonderful – so full and lush. I have a mantel with the tv like you and love how you draped it with the garland and red and gold accents.
My best- Diane
You really go all out for the holidays! Everything looks beautiful and it all coordinates!
There is not a spot that does not look beautiful! Very cozy!
Your house looks amazing! I love it all!
Hey you!! I haven't been here in soooo long, but I am so glad that I did not miss your dining room. The mantle from the barn. Right?! Then the sliding door!! New chairs. I love it all. When is dinner? We don't even need to eat. How about just a glass of wine, or two, or three. 🙂
Merry Christmas, my dear friend.

Everything just looks soooo pretty and I love all the photos. Beautiful.
BEAUTIFUL!!! I love every detail but I especially LOVE the WHITE feathers and lights, and the simple white candles with twine… must try that =)
