Pinterest PinFest Linky Party ~ December

Pinterest is not only a place to keep my favorite sites organized, it’s an awesome place for inspiration for delicious recipes, fun crafts, home improvement projects, storage and organization ideas, home decor, DIY, pretty clothes, gorgeous hairstyles and Christmas eye candy!  Here’s my Pinterest dream this month (please click the links for the original source found via Pinterest):

Today I woke up to the aroma of this sweet holiday breakfast…

And after looking outside to see this:

I sat around in my warm fuzzies all day long…

Mesmerized by this glowing site…

Watching Christmas movies…

Sometimes listening to Christmas music…

Sipping warm holiday cheer…

Smelling these in the oven…

Occasionally, with my design loving streak, I tweak this and decide it looks good just the way it is…

And I’m especially thankful for the entire reason for my Christmas spirit…

November Pinterest PinFest

It’s that time of the month! No – not THAT time of the month. It’s the 2nd Tuesday and time for the Pinterest PinFest.always remember to be extra thankful but November makes us thank God and count our blessings more than usual.  Here’s what I currently find thankful related and Pinteresting {all images found via pinterest. please click the picture redirection to the original source}.  I’m thankful for (and a few details about me):

~*~LOVE~*~
I’m so thankful that God is good and loves me.  This verse makes me feel so good:
I’m so grateful that I’m married to my loving, supportive and funny husband and that he loves me back just as much. I waited a long time for him and we’ve been married a little over 6 years.

Oh and if you’re a Pinterest fan (and I know you are, who isn’t?), you might want to take the Pinterest Challenge with Katie, Sherry, Ana and Erin. I plan on joining in!!! I love a great reason to DIY (did you know that’s a verb?) something I’ve seen. This party is motivation to not just pin and “forget about it” (I just watched Donnie Brasco and can’t help saying that with a NY accent…I think it was quoted 700 x in that movie, wasn’t it?) – but to be proactive about what we pin.  Anyway, head over and link up to the

Here’s another great party for pinterest lovers:

Pinterest PinFest Linky Party ~ Daydreaming

It’s Pinterest PinFest time!  Did you forget?  I almost did!

This month, I’m hoping to clean out my closet and to get it ready for colder weather. Where are my warm sweaters, cute boots, cable knit tights, even my jeans?  Secret:  My wardrobe is currently all over the place:  (i.e. the laundry room, my daughter’s old room, laundry baskets, the hallway, my closet, my dresser, a little bit in the bathroom and all over our master bedroom).  I don’t know how it’s happened but I’m ready to get organized. So, I need a little closet and clothing motivation and inspiration.  Here’s my Pinterest daydream…

Once upon a time, I had a dream that I had this dressing room…everything has a place and I’d have beautiful clothes. I’d sit on my pretty ottoman and change my clothes 20 times.

My daughters and I love scouring the thrift stores for our clothes better than we like going to the mall.  Here are some warmer outfits I’d love to put together and I think I could come close if I was organized enough to find everything.

More dressing room dreams…

The reality:  I’m thinking of moving all of my clothing and accessories to my daughter’s old room and creating a dressing room (it’s currently a 2nd guest bedroom). It has 2 closets! It’s on the 2nd floor. It’s near the hall bathroom that I use. Don’t worry, I’d be leaving the master bedroom for Mr. DIY’s things. We really lack closet space. Old farmhouse = skinny closet and one small additional closet created by previous owners with what we call “saloon doors”.  It’s so ugly and more of a storage place than closet. I do have built in drawers and shelving though ~ and if I do a dressing room, I’d gladly surrender them to Mr. DIY’s gigantic t-shirt collection.

I‘m talking about this room (we just finished a main floor guest room) and rarely get over night guests, so this second floor guest room could serve as my dressing room without much work, don’t you think?  It’s off to a pretty start!

The more I think about it, the more it really appeals to me.  Don’t be surprised if you see future posts about it!

Now it’s your turn! Has Pinterest inspired your next project or your daydreams?
