Anthropologie Inspired DIY

I‘m an Anthropologie window shopper, wish list dreamer.  I love that Kojo Designs combines Anthro love with DIY.  Rewarding and much more affordable.  AND very inspiring.  Take a look:

There are some wonderful tutorials for each of these things, just click the link to see the “how to”, ooh and aah over beautiful pictures and get the details.

kojotutorial: anthropologie inspired knotted bedding part 1 (making the knotted squares)

Isn’t it gorgeous?  She’s very encouraging – it’s not too difficult -mostly time consuming.  I’d love to have this beautiful quilt on my bed.  This beauty looks like it’d have $$$$$ along with 5 stars in a boutique catalog.

This is so smart and so much fun.  I love that colors can be personalized…

And the little “key” and pins are perfect…

Isn’t it awesome?  I love everything from the function and colors to the grid of canvas covered cork.

kojotutorial: reading chair made from two wooden palettes (part 1)

Creating furniture from pallets is on my DIY list (just waiting for the snow to melt and pallets to dry out).  Kirstin created a cool corner pallet chair.  Cutest little reading nook ever!

Black & Decker Giveaway – LAST DAY TO ENTER!

Grand Design

Got some DIY and decorating eye candy for you!  Just in time to inspire your weekend DIY.  Unless you’re on break for the holidays and focused on all of the fun holiday preparations?  I’m not to that point yet but hopefully after the weekend, we will be until 2011.

Nikki from Grand Design is amazing. Here are a few of her projects but if you have time this weekend, head over and check out more!
Her little boy’s bedroom is too cute.  Don’t you just love the antique feel? Cool lockers, beautiful antique furniture and I bet he loves the pendant star light fixture!

Sweet little princess room… again, so cozy and vintage and just so sweet. Gorgeous bed and old windows!
She also transformed her friend’s bedroom.  It’s stunning.  Nikki’s style is the type that inspires me, what I’d love my home to reflect.  If your friend turned your room into a pretty, relaxing retreat like this would you be forever grateful?
You’ll have to visit Nikki’s original post to get all of the details but this original art has special meaning.  It’s beautiful:
An old door headboard.  Clever and so pretty!
And even a window seat…
So what do you guys think? Dreamy?
Nikki, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful designs and inspiring DIY projects!

PURDY AWESOME PARTY

Hi Sugarplum!

Cassie from Hi Sugarplum! has been busy.  She has 2 recent projects that I adore!  I know you will too.
First, her DIY Ballard Inspired burlap vases.  Click the link to see the easy tutorial to make your own for next to nothing.  You’d have no idea that her picture wasn’t the actual Ballard vases if it wasn’t for the price tag!

I love her “Fancy Pants” high boy dresser makeover.  What a great color!

Beautiful job, Cassie!  The vases are awesome and I am so inspired by the highboy dresser.  It makes me rethink a painting project on my list.  I can’t wait to see your daughter’s bedroom reveal!
Looking for some DIY inspiration?  Check out Cassie’s Project Gallery!
Enjoy the weekend!
