It’s that time of year…time to start thinking of the approaching holidays. This year I’ve decided to host a 3rd annual DIY Holiday Highlights linky party since the past couple of years have been such a success…and we all love having DIY holiday ideas from blog friends grouped together, right?
The party welcomes DIY related to Thanksgiving and after that, our family celebrates Christmas so that’s what you’ll see from me. My brother and sister-in-law host our Thanksgiving family gathering every year so no prep at our home, other than putting together a yummy dish to share. And I’m not ready to decorate for Christmas just yet, but I am already thinking of holiday crafts and handmade gifts, how about you?
To kick off this year’s holiday event, I actually did decorate a little for Thanksgiving. But then discovered I left my camera’s battery charger on vacation. {I should probably return to Florida to retrieve it, especially since it went from 70 degrees yesterday to in the 30s today. #sonotafanofcoldweather} So I tried the ipad camera, but not much luck. Here’s a look at what I’ll share more of when my new battery charger arrives…
I went through last year’s DIY Holiday Highlights parties and chose from favorite linked up oldies but goodies for Thanksgiving that I find just as inspiring this year as last. Please pin from the original source by clicking the link. I know these ladies would love your visit, comment and pin from their archives.
In 2011, Aimee from It’s Overflowing shared one of my favorite Thanksgiving tablescapes…whimsical and natural.
I love the blue velvet pumpkins and gold accents of Thanksgiving table 2011 that Shannon from Anythingology…
2011 at The Gathering Place: a vintage feel, a frame within a frame and a Thanksgiving {year round} message…
Back to 2012: GIVEAWAY ALERT! Amanda from Mommy Is CooCoo is giving away one of her beautiful DIY ornament wreaths. I won last year and I have to tell you – it’s gorgeous! You’ll be seeing it in my Christmas decorating this year. She also shows you how to make your own ornament wreath. {Thanks, Amanda!}
