Super Easy DIY Feather Wreath, Christmas Decor and Holiday Highlights Linky Party

My decorations are still packed away.  It’s sad.  I’m usually all decorated by now but with the dining room and kitchen under construction, decorating not to mention cleaning just isn’t happening quite yet.  However, I did make a super easy DIY feather wreath today.

Materials:
Wire wreath form (I got mine at the thrift store)
Ribbon (I used left over scraps along with ripped up strips of a white sheet – only need a few pieces)
Feather boa (Again, I already had this, I love to use it as “snow” to decorate with).  I’m not sure how much they are, but with a coupon from JoAnn’s, it should be reasonable.

Instructions:

Using ribbon, tie the feather boa to the wire form.

Fluff.  Add bow, ribbon, ornaments.  Personalize to match your holiday color scheme.

I told you it was super easy and way more affordable than a feather wreath from the store. What do you think?

DIY Christmas Centerpiece and DIY Holiday HighLights

This was my Christmas centerpiece last year.  I loved it.  I mixed fresh pine clippings, faux pine wreath, fake snow in a hurricane vase, pine cones and added some ornaments.

I loved the arrangement and natural elements.  This year I did something similar but I added my favorite things including white candles tied with twine, pine sprigs, cinnamon pine cones, ornaments and beads to an old tin chicken feeder painted white.
Fresh pine and cinnamon pine cones smell so good!

Glitter Globe Pedestals and DIY Show Off Holiday Highlights Linky Party

I don’t want to know how many weeks or days or hours there are until Christmas.  I’m excited but not ready!  But I did a little DIY Christmas decor project this past week.  The pictures don’t show how truly sparkly these are but using glass ornaments, thrift store candlesticks, PK Glitz, Decor Art Gloss Enamel paint along with Deco Art Clear Medium and Gorilla Glue Epoxy I made decorative glitter globe pedestals.

You can see the full glitter globe pedestal tutorial at The DIY CLUB.
