It’s that time of week to share your latest DIY projects! We’ve been doing a LOT of things around our home this past week. For those who have asked, I do have a regular job as a medical transcriptionist for a local health care facility so for some of what I’m showing you below, there just hasn’t been time to do a tutorial (the wood shed Mr. DIY’s building or venting the bathroom fan). I’m sure you understand, right? We’re always here to answer questions though! Anyway, here are some sneak peeks that prove our crazy week. Pardon me while I step away from the computer for a nap. 🙂
It’s time for grape harvesting (although we don’t have time for grand plans just some fresh grapes and grape juice).
The grapes smell so good, taste so sweet and are bursting with juice…
(We never did do pavers underneath yet. Thanks to Krylon‘s spray stain, the wood is protected!)
Some other goodies from the garden were picked…
Building an ottoman…
and staining feet…
Bun feet, TransTint and foam brushes are available at Rockler. See more about the products and technique I used at The DIY Club.
Mr. DIY with the assistance of his talented father-in-law, Butch, is building a wood shed for firewood…
and vented the bathroom fan through the attic and out the side of the house…
Cleaned for photos and had an interview with our local newspaper…
We’ve decorated for Christmas (details coming up in the future) and packed some of it back up…
Scrubbed down a thrifty find…
Took care to protect the floor using felt weather stripping, Gorilla Glue and felt furniture protectors (see the DIY Club for more details)…
Even Lalka pitched in. (More on this project coming up in a few weeks)
Some of these projects are finished and I’ll be sharing more soon. 🙂
Let’s see what’s been keeping you busy!
1. You must use the button above (ADD BUTTON HTML CODE FROM SIDE BAR TO YOUR POST) and link to this post to share the linky love.
2.Include your name or blog name and project title. Add your permalink (not your blog url, but your DIY project post url). Feel free to link a Past Post, just invite your readers in a current post with a quick note.
3.Or email your link to thediyshowoff@gmail.com and I will add it for you.
4.If you notice your link has disappeared -please add the link back to The DIY Show Off to your post today, a button or a quick note to your readers about the party and try again! I love when everyone participates and readers check out everyone’s links, but I think the return favor of linking back is the nice thing to do so everyone plays fair and enjoys all of the projects and links. Also – this blog party is for DIY projects only. Links not related to DIY will be deleted.
5. NOW you can “like” the links! What a fun idea! Most liked links may be included in a post of DIY Project Parade highlights later in the week! 🙂

~*~*~*~
Today is the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Remembering those who lost their lives that day. I’m so thankful for our military members and their loved ones who have sacrificed so much in the fight to protect our country and our freedoms.
hi Roeshel,
thanks for hosting once more.
there appears to always be an error message in the link tool when i try to link my project. i've added your button to the post – and i changed the link to a direct link to this post – but it still won't allow it!?!?!
i'll be back later to try again.
perhaps it's just me!?!?!
all the best.
cheryl xox.
Hi Roeshel,
I can't link up either…tried three times and went back and checked my back link all three times…even deleting it once and re adding just to make sure I was properly linked.
Hopefully it'll be resolved.
Thanks for hosting!
Nancy
I'm also having problems adding my link. I'll check back later.
I apologize for the inconvenience – Linky Tools is having some issues that are being worked on right now. Please check back. 🙁
Roeshel
I get a big fat error sign too. I will check back later 🙂
Wow, you were very busy this week! The dark grapes are my favorite!
All those projects look amazing…i can't wait to see what you've done!
Thanks for hosting the great party, I get such good traffic from you!! Hope you're having a fab weekend!!
xoxo. C.
Phew! I'm exhausted just from looking at all of your projects! I can't wait to see them all complete and find out the exciting details on others! Thanks for hosting Roeshel!!
I am loving all of the projects you are working on. I can't wait to see the finished product. The styling you showed for Christmas is stunning! Hope to see it in a magazine? 🙂
Thank you for hosting. Hopefully you can relax a bit today.
You have been a busy lady! Your dining room styling is gorgeous! Thanks for hosting!
you have been BUSY!!!
i linked up my "family blessing tree" that i told you about awhile ago…thanks again for your contribution! xoxo
wow i wish grapes were hardy here.
oh hey i have a question too: when abouts did you plant the beans you are picking right now? I was going to pick my kidney, black, and brown beans this weekend but it is too early to pick them as they aren't quite dried out enough yet (eg, they are my winter dry beans grown for the seeds rather than the bean pod). Do you have a two-season summer there? My strawberries are turning red right now for the 2nd go-round; thats never ever happened before.
Thanks so much for hosting each week!! : )
Thanks, ladies!!!
TG – we planted the beans in April/May. They were munched by groundhogs in June but grew back and we have a lot now. We're in western PA. My husband actually does the gardening. We had a mix from seeds and some bean plants.
Hi Roeshel, Coming back…sorry I had to link & leave earlier – we went to a corn maze for the afternoon!
Your grapes look amazing! If I wasn't imagining the kids squashing them everywhere and having purple stains tracked through the house, I'd try growing them!
Your week sounds like ours – except we've been stuck on ONE project that should have taken 1 hour, has now turned into 1 week and counting…. so it's my link this week – an unfinished project!
Nan
You are one talented girl and busy too! 🙂 Those grapes look so yummy and the dining room, love it! Can't wait to see what else you'll pull out of your hat! Hope you had a great weekend, so excited for Roomspiration, thanks for joining up and all the great advice!
Fresh grapes? Sounds divine!
Thanks for hosting!
Hi Roeshel! Thanks for hosting, but I couldn't copy your code for the button. Not sure what it happening, but I treed the one in the post as well as the one in your side bar. I did add a link in my post, not sure if the problem is on my end of yours. Just wanted you to know I tried! Anyway, looks like there are some great links! Thanks!
Hi Roeshel,
Thank you for sharing and hosting all the fun.
I'm looking forward to viewing the article and reading about
"We've decorated for Christmas…"
hmmm… maybe a magazines holiday issue?!?
