Here is her letter:
Hi!
Just found your wonderful blog (a new follower as of today) and wanted to share a project of mine. This cover was shown in the current edition of BH&G’s 100 Decorating ideas under 100.
The stool before:
The stool after with the cover I designed:
Not shown in the magazine are three other covers that I made as well:
All of these covers are simple to make and use a minimal amount of fabric. They are a great way to dress up a standard bar or counter height stool.
Thanks for sharing your creativity, Stacy!

Have a great weekend and if you’re somewhere warm with
sunshine, I don’t want to know about it! Imagine the fun I’ll be having building a snowman and making snow angels. I’m more likely to be snuggled under the blankies with my magazines, laptop and hot cocoa but … I can pretend to enjoy the pretty snow. So, if you’re visiting this weekend – feel free to SHOW OFF your favorite post on your blog by linking yourself below. I mean it when I say I won’t be going out so thanks in advance for giving me a place to visit while hibernate!
Show Off Your Blog!
- Link your name and your favorite blog post or just your blog url if all of your posts are your favorites. As you know, before/after and DIY are my favorites!
- One LINK per person per blog please! (Duplicates will be deleted.)
- I’d love it if you’d grab the DIY Show Off button from the side bar if you’re joining in and invite your friends to the party!
If you’re new to The DIY Show Off, welcome! I started this blog to journal my own DIY home projects. See the before/after transformations HERE. It’s still a work in progress and always under construction. More of my current living room projects coming soon! We work on renovating and decorating our farmhouse as time and money allows so in between, I love featuring other DIY’ers! If you’re looking for some DIY inspiration, feel free to browse the categories on the left side bar for some ideas!
Hi Roeshel, I love your blog & so glad I found it. I just started blogging this week. No before & afters yet, sorry. I have a bad habit of starting a project without taking before pics. Here's the worst example of this: When we moved into our first home which was a fixer upper many years ago, my husband & I were sitting at dinner one night & discussing how we were going to remove the ceiling tiles. No sooner had we said that, we got up & started removing them – right in the middle of dinner! Currently we are getting our house ready to sell, so we have a few projects left to do. I think I will go take some before photos right now. Have a good weekend!
Love these! We have two stools like that and I have the perfect fabric (used to be a curtain)!!
I'm off to check out her site!!
((Hugs))
I know it's not quite the weekend yet…but I tend to forget things if I don't do them right away! I'm Kim, my (and my partner Sara's!) blog is EFeDesigns.wordpress.com, and my favorite DIY post is http://efedesigns.wordpress.com/2010/01/06/message-station/. Come visit!
Hi Roeshel- Thanks for hosting a link up. It is always so inspiring to see all the creativity. I wish I could hunker down and enjoy some good magazines today like you plan to do, but I am trying to get to Vermont from suburban Philadelphia!!! in the Snowicane. Hope you have a nice relaxing day.
These are adorable! Thanks for the link – I have some poor little stools that could use a custom update. Have a great weekend!

I love these! I had seen the one that was featured in the mag, but not the others. She did a great job. I was MIA in blogland yesterday, so I'm sorry I'm just now getting over here to comment and to thank you for mentioning me AGAIN. That was so sweet of you! I hope you're havinag a warm and cozy weekend.
