I have some furniture in desperate need of magic paint. I’m waiting on some paint samples and a Mythic paint swatch that I won from High Heeled Foot in the Door so I can choose 2 gallons of free paint too. I can’t wait to get started!
I feel like a DIY Show & Tell is in order. Let’s see your furniture makeovers to help give me a confidence boost.
Edit: I want to add that I love having your DIY projects in the DIY Show Off archives so thanks for linking up! BUT why not link to two parties today?! Since I don’t have any furniture makeovers of my own, I completely forgot about Miss Mustard Seed’s party! Miss Mustard Seed herself does the most gorgeous furniture surgeries ever! So when you’re done showing off here, you’re invited to another party! Just click the button below to mingle and see more amazing furniture features!
Check out these before and afters too!
I love this table transformation from Cottage Charm and Family Inspiration:
From Cindy at Applewood Cottage
Before
After
and her table before
now it’s beautiful in white (I love it)…
Krista from Look Ma No Hands gave an old tired chair a new pretty new look!
Check out the Paint Color Giveaway at Frugal Home Ideas too!
If you’d like to link YOUR DIY Furniture post to the party:
- You must use the button above and link to this post to share the linky love.
- Add your permalink (not your blog url, but your Show & Tell post url). Feel free to link a Past Post, just invite your readers in a current post with a quick note.
- Or email your link to thediyshowoff@gmail.com and I will add it for you.
- The party will run for a few days…so showing up fashionably late is acceptable. I will probably take tomorrow off from blogging so keep checking back for more links!
- If you notice your link has disappeared – please add the link back to The DIY Show Off to your post today with a quick note to your readers about the party and try again! I love when everyone participates and readers check out everyone’s links, but I think the return favor of linking back is the nice thing to do so everyone plays fair and enjoys all of the projects and links. Also – this Show & Tell is for FURNITURE ONLY. Links not related to DIY home accents will be deleted.
We are so honored to be featured!!!Thank you soooooooooo much!!!

This is the encouragement I need! When the weather warms up I'm going to give the headboard in our guestroom a makeover . . . never done it to real size furniture!!

I need some advice on painting wood that is currently stained. How essential is sanding and primer? Instant gratification makes me want to just slap the paint over what is already there (probably poly and the stain color that I hate) but I don't want it to turn out bad just because I was lazy! Any advice? Can I sand and not primer? Or should I just suck it up and sand, prime, and paint? Thanks for any tips!
I am leaving here so inspired! Thank you!
Hugs
