During a short painting break tonight (I survived the DIY-gone-wrong yesterday), I’m reading some favorite blogs and came across:
I completely forgot! It’s a good thing I needed a break or I would have missed it and I wanted to share with you and participate because I know you all love furniture makeovers as much as I do! (See here).
Again, before…
A little paint (Ralph Lauren mahogany) and new knobs give the dresser a cleaner and more modern look.

I know most of you have seen this, but if you’re new, here’s my dresser makeover:

And now. Really – it’s the same dresser!
I’ve had this storage cube in the closet for years. Full of memories but hidden away.
Cute…but full of memories and buried in a closet.
Now with a new cover and cushion…perfect little stool.
Head over – it’s a fun party full of fabulous furniture features!
While you’re there – check out her blog. So much talent. So much inspiration. Tell her I said hello! TGIF! (Back to painting!)
Ooooh, classic! I love it! The cube turned out fabulous, too.
The dresser is stunning! That's a fabulous color, I'll have to head out and get myself some.
Ok and your front door–oh my goodness that's too much skill for me!! Way to go on that project. I'm in awe–and must bow, to your greatness-hehe.
Ok so you'll have to show me your Betsey Johnson socks–those are the same brand we were wearing!!!
One more thing, I'll going to send you an email– Let me know if you can play along.
Shoot! I had one of those storage cubes and I got rid of it. That is such a clever idea. Love the dresser. What a transformation! laurie
I love both of these! How oh how did you get the modpodge fabric? paper? off the dresser? Or was it painted? I think that one deserves a tutorial for sure.
I have seen the dresser, but loved seeing it again. I love those rich brown colors. Covering the storage cube was a great idea! Have a wonderful Saturday!
I can hardly believe that is the same dresser. What? Someone really did a number on that one. You made it look so sleek & sophisticated. Great job!
You've been boo'd! More details on my blog! 🙂
