Welcome friends to my Christmas home tour!
I’m so excited to be participating this year! You can start the Christmas Home Tours each day starting with Day 1 (today is Day 3) by visiting Jennifer Rizzo. Prepare to be inspired, get tons of gorgeous holiday decorating ideas and to be invited into the homes of 30+ bloggers.
Did you catch the stop before me? It’s a surprise house but the Christmas beauty doesn’t surprise me…she’s known for creating beautiful and inspiring spaces. See more here. Visiting from there? Why, “hello”! So glad you’re here!
I’m #18 on the tour. Let’s get started! Note: these pictures look ‘ok’ on my Mac but my husband says they’re not so great on his PC. They were taken at night but I will be sharing individual room posts over the next week or so with better photos so I hope you’ll stop back!
A quick summary of our home for the holidays…with more photos of each individual room and details of each space in the coming weeks. I’m also decorating for a real life holiday home tour for our local symphony fundraiser so nearly every room on our main floor is getting all festive. I hope you enjoy the quick tour!
A modern farmhouse kitchen – as you can tell, we love a mix of new and old and if you’ve seen our regular home tour, you know this kitchen has come a long way.
This season, we’re using a dresser as a kitchen island and that large mail sorter is so much fun to clutter up. I mean “decorate”!
A little nature & glitter in the dining room…
A stack of old trunks lift the tree for a larger focal presence.
Living Room – I don’t show this room very often, but I love how our traditional Christmas tree glows and sparkles.
A mostly thrifted gallery wall with a Christmas theme…
Decorating the mantel around a wall mounted tv is always a challenge but this year, the mix of yard sales finds, old decor and a new banner adds just the right amount of glam and a touch of rustic.
Guest Room – I love the challenge of adding Christmas touches in a non-traditional color palette. It doesn’t take much to whisper “Christmas”, doesn’t it?
Family Room – one of the things I love about this old home is that it’s not an open floor plan and each room has it’s own feel. And since I just do what I love, this colorful eclectic theme in the family room doesn’t feel out of place in our home.
Even the main floor bathroom gets a bit of Christmas cheer.
Hey, where’s the sitting room and the powder room? What about that laundry room makeover in progress and the pantry-room reveal? Why don’t you see the decorated front doorway? See Part 2 of our holiday home tour here.
I hope you enjoyed the small summary of what’s to come! Have any questions, want to introduce yourself or need more details? Let me know in the comments and I’ll get right back to you. Thanks for stopping by!

Your ombre tree is so much fun and I’ve always loved your ruffly tree skirt! The dining room looks so warm and cozy that I wish I could pop on by for a meal :). Thanks for opening your home to us.
I think I squeal every single time I see your family room I love it so much! Love, love how you decorated this year!!!

Love it, Roeshel! Everything is so fun and festive!
I really like the eclectic feel that you’ve put together for Christmas, very fun!!
I was wondering, is the faux deer on the bed a project you made, or was that a puchase? I REALLY like it, so unique!
I bought it that way, Donna. It’s yarn wrapped – could definitely be a great DIY project! I got it at TJMaxx. THanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment! 🙂
Thanks. I’ll keep my eyes open for a paper mache deer and some fun yarn, I’m in Canada and there’s no TJMaxx near me.
Thanks for the reply.
Merry Christmas
Every single item in your house is just so gorgeous! Did you wrap the adorable Reindeer or did it come that way? I have always liked all your critters….. real and otherwise.
Thanks, Sheryll! I love your visits and look forward to your comments. 🙂 THat yarn wrapped deer came that way. TJMaxx.

Your home is so lovely! Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much, Jennifer! Merry Christmas to you too! xo
Fantastic tour, even if it was at night! I LOVE the idea of trunks for the bottom of the tree! About the cutest tree “trunk” I’ve seen lol.
I LOVE everything about this!! Fantastic job as always!!! xo
Roeschel, your Christmas home is an enchantment. There are so many different ideas in each room, it’s better than going to see the Christmas shop windows in Paris for inspiration. And Christmas decor or not, I LOVE your kitchen and that dresser you use as an island.
Wow – can I come over and pull a chair up to that dresser island (genius) and have a cookie and wait for Santa? Love your home – and I have the same JOY marquee sign!
Kelly
Roeshel!!!! You did such an amazing job on your Christmas decor! The tree in the trunk – Genius!! I love your mail sorter (and your whole kitchen) your kitchen is designed the same way I want mine! Your trees and whole house look so inviting and gorgeous Love everything you’ve done!
It’s all so pretty! Love all the rooms!
so cute!
Thanks forte home tour! I’m curious, the dresser island – did you embellish the back of it? I’m asking because often times the back side of furniture isn’t very attractive…but yours is quite nice.
Thanks, Sharon! I know what you mean, but no…this is the original back to this old dresser.
So great to see another house that has a TV above the fireplace. I was really worried how I was going to decorate this year, and seeing others successfully work around this issue gives me hope.
Decorating my mantel is always a challenge with that tv there, Becky! I know how that feels! lol But this year, I’m happy with the result. The key is to not block that sensor though. haha! Good luck!!!
Absolutely Gorgeous!!! Love your home!
What a gorgeous home! Loved strolling thru…thank you for sharing. I know that was a tremendous amount of work…
