What I did:
- remove chipped paint and dirt
- wash (pressure washer works nicely!) and dry
- a couple of light coats of Rust-Oleum Universal (gloss white)
You’d never know these yard-sale mismatched pieces needed a little DIY TLC…

A pressure washer is great for removing paint chips, Wendy. Sanding also works but takes more effort and time. Hope this helps! Good luck!
They look fabulous! I would try keeping them indoors for the winter if you don’t already. That rocker is VERY old, as in antique. If you ever want to get rid of it, I’m your person as I have the matching chair! 🙂

Thanks for sharing this idea! I tried this yesterday and everything was well managed. I completely agree that one should go for pressure washing otherwise it later becomes a bit troublesome with dirt and loose particles of paint. Keep motivating 🙂
