Add a little more interest (and color) to every day pieces of ‘forgotten’ furniture to spice things up a bit.
This round side table is so pretty and the long criss-crossed legs are the perfect length to add a dipped look. I was really tempted to do hot pink or bright turquoise but chose gold since I like to swap out color in decorative accents so often.
Remove each furniture leg and the small leveling/floor protector from each leg.
Decide how much of the legs you wish to be painted and mark each leg.
Create a clean line using FrogTape®. Rub the edge of the tape with your thumbnail. Tape off all areas not to be painted.
Then spray paint. I gave each leg one coat of paint + primer.
Before last coat of paint dries, remove FrogTape.
Then I reassembled the side table.
Love it’s new look…nice legs!

Do you have a piece of furniture that could use a little DIY love?

Nice job Roeshel, I like this look because it’s so custom and unique. This is so cool and proves DIY is the way to go with furniture design 🙂
Love this little table and the legs look fabulous in gold. Great tutorial. Hugs, Marty
Oh I love this. And yes, I absoflippinlutely do have furniture that needs love, tons of love and I am so IN to this. I really wanted small bed table to be ALL gold, but feel (still deciding on what to paint it) it would be uhhhh too much. lol I am doing this, once I figure what to paint it…….. poor unwanted table that it is…… but now loved, because I found out how much it would cost me to get a new one and not any better. I redid the legs, very basic, blah, but more height and now have decided to add a shelf on the bottom of the long legs I made out of scrape pine lumber.
LOVING those gold legs! I’m thinking about gold leafing my entire iron bed. My husband isn’t sold on the idea…We’ll see? Life to the full! Melissa
Love it! Fun and simple updates are the best!
Love this look….what gold paint did you use?
Hi Tina! I just used a gold spray paint. I believe it’s one of RustOleum’s Universal Metallics. Good luck!
