This little room right off of the dining room really doesn’t have a function and gets a makeover more often than any other room in our home. As in…made over on a nearly monthly basis…since I like to re-arrange and move things around so often. Here’s a look at this room’s decorating history…
It started off looking like this when we bough our home:
We installed French doors, slate tile and a rescued a giant mirror…
Sometimes it displays my latest thrifty treasures…
Or acts as an extension to our dining space…
Or a rarely used sitting room…
At Christmas time, it’s my favorite space to decorate…
And currently it’s a little work space…
DIY no sew drop cloth {script} curtains.
with a cute DIY globe light fixture cover…
Here’s what the other side of the room currently looks like: {wall mounted pallet shelf}
It’s like playing with a life sized doll house. Do you switch it up routinely?
I’m joining in the party:
Oh I love this room, you have it decorated so beautifully with every one of your changes. Gorgeous. Hugs, Marty
I love your extra room. Wish I had one like it.
What a terrific room! Imlove it decorated for Christmas and a workspace best.
Oh my… I love all the looks and purposes of the room. Funny how often you change it up!
Wow where to start? Love the slate flooring and french doors, love those script curtains and the globe light, can’t decide which is my favorite set up, really love it as the work stations. I need to get more creative when it comes to re-arranging rooms, I usually find a set up I like and stick with it forever. My office rarely gets used anymore since I switched back to a laptop. Although I have a huge reno planned for that room for this summer/fall so maybe once it’s redone I will want to spend more time in there! As usual loving what you do 🙂
Two thoughts: 1) I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this space, and
2) You’re a genius!!
Your site is definitely aptly (is that a word?) named!! Definitely make things worth “showing off” Keep up the good work, you’ve got a fan in me!
I love that you place a cushion on a trunk to turn it into a bench! Pinning!
love love LOVE the french doors! and the curtains! I think I’m going to try them…
I LOVE that foundry mold!! I love to change up my walls. the house we are in right now doesn’t have a lot of wall space……or maybe I have too many things on my walls! They are almost completely covered! I change my mantel almost monthly, though. It’s so easy when I bring in something new (to me) and throw it up on the mantel. Your blog is fantastic!
