Perfect for the barn patio. I’m thinking blue/green and making some cushions. I like this Waverly outdoor fabric:
but that could change. What would you do?
My barn patio is mostly whites/beiges and that robin’s egg blue little wicker stool.
I got the rest of these items at a barn/estate sale. The homeowner purchased an old boyscout camp and turned the dining hall into his home. I wanted to peek in the windows so bad but I controlled myself. It felt like miles back a bendy/dirt road but the property was so park and trail like and beautiful.
I LOVE this vintage stool! It’s for our work bench in the basement since it’s only 1.

Ours. $20 (spider webs free):
A cute little step ladder:
My daughter liked this camp chair, so I’ll swap out the fabric. You can’t tell but it’s pretty dirty.
He had the locker type baskets but wouldn’t part with them but offered me this wire basket. I have an addiction. 😉
I got a quick tour of the outside on our way to the former cook’s cabin to grab windows that weren’t broken amongst empty mouse nests. lol. I even got to see a concrete snake pit! Thankfully from a distance and hopefully empty. Waiting for a nicer sunny warm day to clean them up. Old windows $1. I’ve seen so many cute ideas with these so I’m still deciding my DIY strategy.
I‘m also working on painting my daughter’s former bedroom and swapping the bedding from another guest room (which will then lead to re-doing that room). Here is a sneak peek. I only painted one wall so far because I wanted to test the color … and then I had make the bed, etc. to see if I liked it. What do you think so far? I also have my damask Cutting Edge stencil to try in this room too! More to come.
Before:
In progress (I rescued the brass chandelier last year and gave it a spray paint makeover). Yikes! The wall looks a little bright in this picture! And if that isn’t enough on my DIY plate, I’m still working on the dining room. We got the glass top for our reclaimed barn wood table (to protect the top). Now, what is your advice/magic for convincing husband that these are the chairs WE want:
when he thinks he likes these better?
??? What’s your secret? Mix them? He likes the spindly ones for the arm chairs. I prefer the wingback. I have my work cut out for me. 😉
What are you working on?
Okay – I know there are thrifty treasure parties but I apologize! For the life of me, I can’t find them. If you’re having one, I’d love to invite myself. Just let me know. 🙂
You have been busy. Spring really gives us energy to do to it all. Everytime I see a picture of your barn patio, my heart does a little pitter patter!
Country Blessings,
Cindy
Wingback! Wingback! Tell your husband that the wingback chairs are a better investment because should your dining room ever change again, the wingbacks would be comfortable chairs in a living room, den, office, bedroom, or guestroom- pretty much any room in the house. But no one is going to sit on the spindle chair outside of the dining room.
Great find on the bistro set! Just darling. You have a lot of neat finds here. I like hubbies pick of chairs too, I guess just mix and match, more fun anyway~

Wow, what a haul! You did amazing! My favorites are the bistro set (what a DEAL) and the little ladder, so adorable.
Oh, and I'm a mix the chairs kinda person!
Roeshel, love that bistro set and what a deal. You found some great pieces. You need to talk hubby into the wing chairs for the end and the other chairs on the sides. There is a party called nifty thrifty Tuesdays over at linda-coastalcharm.blogspot.com.

I have got to get on the garage sailing bandwagon. That bistro set is fabulous and I love the fabric you've chosen to cover the chairs.
Good Morning Roeshel, I love the chandelier in your daughter's bedroom, it's to die for!!
I think the chairs would be very pretty mixed. Love that chandelier. You have so many beautiful things and I love the bistro set. Of course, I love the fabric colors but not sure about the pattern. Maybe stripes?
Oh, what great finds! I'm especially loving the little patio set you found – I'm currently searching for a set for our front porch, too. Maybe one day luck will be with me, too… 🙂
Love that bistro set, Roeshel! That fabric will look great as cushions. You've both selected nice dining room chairs ~ I would mix them as a compromise. Maybe give him the spindly arm chairs and use upholstered along the sides {or vice versa}.
Wow you have been busy and so much creativity. Can't wait to see your finished projects.

Roeshel, I love your patio and I had a great idea…in my mind when I looked at your barn/patio picture to the left of that picture or window not sure what it was I thought you should have a rake or pitchfork with the rake part at the top but painted pale robin's egg blue….just a thought…that wall is empty and I thought how cute this patio is but it needs a farm…something…rake…pitchfork….something…not sure…
Anyhow just an idea! Love your post today, those pictures get my mind going! big smile!
Blessings,
Debbie
I actually love that color green!! Hoping to do my laundry room in something similar. What color is it?
You are a busy lady!
What great finds. I'm jealous over all of them. Especially that $20 stool. In heaven!
LOVE the room, love all the awesome stuff you found too! Can't wait to see how they turn out!!

Oh my gosh – you found such wonderful stuff!!! I'm sooo jealous!! I love the bistro set.
Why don't you try mixing the dining room chairs? I love that mixed look.
Did you say, "Barn Patio?!?!?"
I WANT one!
What great finds!!! I'm with you on the bistro set, I like blue to match the stool. LOVE the chandelier… I'm in the process of finding a makeover worthy one for myself. =) And LOVE, LOOOVE the old windows! I'm also on the prowl for a few of those. I agree, so many options!!! I found some at a thrift store a while back and didn't buy them… I'm still kicking myself. =(
Anyway, excellent finds, can't wait to see the projects in action!!!
You hit the treasure trove! That bistro set will be perfect in your outdoor space, and I love that stool. Can't wait to see what you do with the windows. That chandelier is drop dead gorgeous. Her room is going to be fab. laurie
I totally want to come shopping with you! Great finds – Love the bistro set and your plans on what to do with it! I still dream about your barn space and think it would be the perfect addition! can't wait to see some projects…
I {heart} wingback chairs in the dining room BUT…they are going to be much harder (and more expensive) to clean when they get dusty/dirty, which they inevidibly will in a dining room. Also, I kind of like a simpler more airy (does that make sense) chair with a farmhouse table. I think the heavy chairs with the heavy table might be to weighty.
Love the bedroom color…so fresh!
