I’m working on a patio makeover and off to a great start…did you shudder at the “BEFORE”-before pictures too?

Following DIY Show Off on instagram? You’ll have noticed that we’re finally FINALLY working on the path underneath the grape arbor gazebo! Good-bye weeds…HELLO found  old bricks.

{see the grape arbor when we bought our house…it’s come a long way, baby!}

CocoRosie has a couple of new outfits and a new better fitting Martingale collar. Being thin with short hair means there’s much shivering outside when it’s cooler. Thanks to SpoiledBratzWear, Rosie’s toasty and fashionable in her raspberry & gray striped thermal romper and softie faux shearling no rub tag dog collar with sweet cupcake ribbon.

 Custom. Comfy. SO cute!

Whoa! Where did the week go?! I can’t believe it’s time for THAT DIY PARTY again already!

Recap of my week: I got the soon-to-be pantry painted {EZ Twist PaintStick review} and planned to paint the trim this weekend, however, that hasn’t happened.

If you follow on Instagram, you’ll have noticed that we have three new lights {thanks to my nephew, Kaleb, for his help with wiring. Swapping out a chandelier is not a one person job}.

and (not DIY related but…) after saving for nearly a year, the shopping day I’ve been anticipating happened! Hurray! I’ll be blogging from a new laptop that doesn’t overheat and shut down mid-post or during photo editing. And I don’t have to participate in Google Hangouts via iPhone anymore now that I have a laptop with a camera. That’s going to save a little time and a lot of frustration. I’m so excited!

I’m running short on time this weekend so THAT DIY PARTY highlights from last week will be in a separate post early this week. I started, but seriously – there are so many awesome projects linked up to last week’s party…I’m going to need an extra day or two to catch up!

I love this idea from Down to Earth Style, especially when space is limited. No room for a bulky piece of furniture? Holly’s quick, easy DIY book ledge is the perfect solution and such a charming accent…

Numbers just add so much charm, don’t they? I love the numbered bathroom cabinet over at The Golden Sycamore. So cute!

I loved the jute spool when I saw it in my daily email a week or so ago. Well, Deb at Lake Girl Paints made her own creative DIY version. A DIY jute spool that’s just as darling…

and Kelly at Live Laugh Rowe was thinking along the same lines. Hey, our string sits in a junk drawer, unwinds and gets all tangled. I’m inspired! Love this creative idea too. Adorable DIY twine holder…

Charming Zebra has an awesome DIY clothing rack – industrial style and sturdy too I just might have a few that lean or fall apart (too many clothes?) so I love this!

Did you see Leslie’s clever DIY faux bamboo shade made from…placemats?! What a great idea! It looks awesome!

Who is ready for spring? This girl! Kelly at the Pink Hammer Blog shares a great tutorial for a fun primitive tipsy pot planter.

Kathleen from Between Blue and Yellow just inspired me BIG TIME. I want a library. I need a library. One with beautiful finds and lots of books. I love every detail in her library makeover ‘after’…I’d snuggle up on that darling sofa with a good book and never leave this room.

UPDATES: What’s been going on with me? Well,  I’ve been planning a new extension of DIY Show Off for featuring your creative DIY projects for a couple of months now {have you seen the Google community called DIY Meeting Place yet? There’s more to that coming soon!}. I finally arrived at a time when I can make it happen and got the ball rolling this past week. So exciting!

I’m so honored that DIY Show Off has been nominated for Best DIY blog at Apartment Therapy and would really appreciate your vote. I see some of you, my friends, over there too and I’ll be voting as well! Thanks!

I’ve also started a new blog. As in, it’s still a newborn baby blog with 1 blog post. I know this is going to come as a shock, but I have more than just DIY decorating and home improvement interests. ::gasp:: Sorry if you fell off your chair! But don’t worry. I plan to be here at DIY Show Off as usual too. DIY is my #1 favorite interest.
