It’s that time of the week again! Were you painting or crafting or all geared up in safety glasses sporting power tools? Hey, inquiring minds want to know! It’s time to ‘show off’ your DIY projects!
A LITTLE CHANGE…
And the party hasn’t changed…only the name. Same day, starts on Sundays at 9 a.m. and runs through Friday evening. Still the same theme…all DIY. Only the name has changed. DIY Project Parade is now officially called “That DIY Party”. And as always, you’re invited!
Last week at DIY Show Off, I shared a couple of quick DIY projects I had been working on:
The snow and frigid temps here in the Pittsburgh area have finally given me cabin fever. I took a few hours to create a new header for something fresh and new. Did you notice? I’m no graphic designer but I’m happy with my DIY attempt at cleaning up my online home.
A black vinyl thrift store headboard … imagine sticking to that when it’s hot? Well, it has a new look with drop cloth upholstery and tufted buttons…much better and more comfortable. Looks like a $250+ version, doesn’t it?
And the sliding door in the dining room is the first hint of spring here in our home, a beautiful chartreuse paint job covers up a dingy dirty white. It still feels neutral enough to coordinate with my eclectic style but adds a pop of color.
Here are some more awesome inspiring DIY highlights from last week…I have to tell you, it’s hard to choose! You guys are awesome and inspiring! And with nearly 200 links to go through, I have a rough time not highlighting every single one! Thank you for ‘showing off’ your hard work!
I’ve been collecting yardsticks from yard sales all last year and am so inspired by the beautiful yardstick topped table makeover at Bliss Ranch. It just adds so much fun and character in her entryway and it’d be great in a craft room…no misplaced tape measures, rulers or yardsticks.
Did you catch this super cute boys bathroom makeover from Julie at Being Home? Amazing before and after, adorable accents.
Janel from Nellie Bellie revealed one AWESOME mudroom transformation with some pretty amazing DIY projects including the perfect pipe leg bench…
Brittany from Smart Girl Style had the clever-est idea (love the pallet headboard too)…giving inexpensive clamp lamps a coat of paint. Instant DIY reading lamps. Cre-A-tive!
I’ve seen this featured elsewhere but couldn’t help giving a shout out too in case you missed it. I am in love with this DIY No Sew Rolled Window Valance from Kristine at the Painted Hive. Function + beauty and quick & easy but she had me at vintage ticking. Gets me every time.
Okay, you might see my cat donning these for Valentine’s day because even if you don’t have a precious little one, don’t they just capture your heart? Or maybe it’s the darling baby legs…but dang, these Valentine Sweater Leg Warmers from Chelsea at Making Home Base are super sweet, aren’t they?…
Mandy at Tarheel Charm just made my life a little easier. I hate cleaning the fridge. I love that my husband does the cooking but he doesn’t share my neat-freak-ness when it comes to a clean fridge. And cleaning those cold glass shelves is never a fun job. Mandy’s DIY fridge mats using placemats is a genius idea! Just remove and clean. I cannot wait to get started…except the cleaning before the mats part. Not excited about that.
Holy….wow! There are so many fantastic inspiring ideas {and pictures} for an awesome good time at a construction truck themed party over at Vixen Made.
You know we’re welcoming a new family member in the near future (dog!) and how sweet is this project from Pondered Primed Perfect? I’m so inspired to start creating dog-related projects like Sherry’s custom silhouette doggy bag. This is going in my inspiration files for sure. Adorable!
Pallets are a popular DIY material and you’re going to want to head over to OPC’s The Better Half for “Pallet 101“…a must read or pin for later reference for helpful tips when working with pallets.
Now let’s see YOUR DIY! Time to “show off”…

well, now I know what color chartreuse is! I don’t know why it always seemed like a word that described red to me. The door looks great as does that headboard. And the new header is very, very nice.
Thanks as always for hosting -( oh and I know you look at everything but I have to point out the “Tiny Houses on a Ledge” – so cool!)
