Haunted Birdhouses & An Introduction

Popping in on Sunday for a quick introduction – I HAVE to show off these cute Haunted Houses from JannyPie. She is so creative and talented. What a fun DIY project but she also has them listed in her etsy shop (check out Skowly – how cute!). Aren’t these haunted birdhouses a perfect Halloween accent? She also has some adorable non-Halloween ones and TONS of other fun ideas.

Spooky!

Funny Fall Accent

It’s so pretty here today, so I was outside picking grapes.

Our grape arbor is full and ripe. (Hope to post pictures of before/after grape arbor rebuild soon)…but I was scouting around for some natural decorating accents and came across these.

SOMEONE has been nibbling the pine cones!
I think they’re so funny!
Our yard is crunchy and full of acorn shells too.
I better watch my back. Fat squirrels!

I’ll share more for the fall festival on Monday! I hope you’ll join me!

HAVE A FABULOUS WEEKEND!

Fall Festival – Week #3

It’s that time of the week again! I can’t wait to get a dose of autumn inspiration! Here are my fall-related projects this past week.
I know it’s a little early, but I couldn’t help making a little Halloween vignette with my nevermore tree. I don’t usually decorate for Halloween, but this 1 spot is just the right amount for me (other than the barn patio – for a Halloween party!).

Fall also means the start of the football season! Want to know a secret about me? I’m not a football fan (except by geographical birth since I was born & raised in Steeler Country and by marriage since my husband is a die-hard fan). I don’t understand the plays and only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. I do get caught up in the excitement though. (Not only did I hear the shouting from the living room this afternoon, I also got a rundown on how many missed opportunities there were in today’s game. lol) My sister is a fan and she has had some back surgeries. So, I made her a travel lumbar pillow and tote bag this week. No tutorial. I just measured, cut, ironed and sewed without a pattern. I’m linking to

Here you can get an idea of the size. (Pardon my lack of “evening gown” for modeling..lol.)

And finally, My fall tablescape: (you may have seen these for Met Monday too!)

This isn’t fall related but I love Met Monday! Head over to see the transformations and you’ll be hooked too!

I added numbers to a bench from our barn patio. I love how it turned out.

Edited to add (because you know I can’t pass up a good blog party and I found these this weekend). I got these at a thrift shop for our family room (another DIYproject on the looooong list). $12.99 = 1 desk + 1 chair!
Hurray – great deal so I bought them both!
