Let the DIY Project Parade begin! UncommonGoods is showing off this week at the DIY Show Off. They have some fun products including DIY and decorating. Not to mention that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner – there are so many unique gift ideas but warning: You can’t resist finding something for yourself or your home as well.
Here are a few of my favorites. Things seriously on my wish list. Birthday in March. (hint hint to Mr. DIY if he’s reading!)
They also have some products for the DIY fan…
Made With Memories
We all have them: a concert t-shirt from 10 years ago, a worn-in college sports shirt, the complimentary family reunion t-shirt…and they are all taking up space in the bottom of a dresser drawer. Give your sentimental souvenirs the presentation they deserve with the fun and easy Memory Quilt Kit, which not only puts all your favorite t-shirts to good use as a cozy blanket, but also tells the story of your life in a unique way.
A Shower Of Creativity
Don’t let your shower curtain get caught naked – decorate it yourself!
Ambient Recycling
Recycle your favorite empty glass bottles into a one-of-a-kind lamp with this cool DIY kit. Includes metal lamp frame and lamp base. Fits standard light bulb.
Something else really cool about UncommonGoods: They specialize in items that are unique, handmade and/or eco-friendly and are always looking to work with new artists and designers. If you have a product or product idea you think they might like, email us at newgoods(at)uncommongoods(dot) com – let them know that the DIY Show Off told ya! 🙂
UncommonGoods is generously donating a $50 gift card for one DIY Show Off reader! Awesome!

I don't have pictures yet but I just bought a great wood desk on Craigslist for $35. I'm going to repaint the bottom white with a black glaze and do the top in royal blue. I really need a sewing table and this one is perfect with plenty of drawers and I love that it's real wood. I also found some great Italian wrapping paper with vintage typewriters on it to use as drawer liners.
I found the perfect knobs at Uncommon Goods for my finished sewing desk!
