It’s no secret that one of my most favorite sources for inspiration for our home renovation is
Their DIY skills are amazing, their motivation is encouraging and Layla’s cottage style is exactly what I picture for this big old farmhouse (yes, there’s a “consultation” on my Christmas wish list) and aren’t Layla and Kevin the cutest couple? DIY talent, generous with tips, info, products AND sweet. It’s one of my favorite blogs.
I love when good things happen to good people, don’t you? Well, she made a big announcement today that their home is going to be featured in The Nest magazine. I’m also a D&R nestie so I’m so thrilled for their good news and can’t wait to see it! What a dream – to have your hard work recognized and shown off in a magazine! Makeup and wardrobe crew and photographer too – what an exciting week for them!
Although I’m sure you’ve seen these, I wanted to share a few of my favorite after pictures of their beautiful home.
If you haven’t already, pop over and give them some congratulatory and best wishes and your DIY support. Are you a fan? What’s your favorite TLC project?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
You have put smiles on our faces as we run around here like maniacs in preparation for the shoot. 🙂
Fed Ex just dropped off a million HUGE boxes full of accessories the prop stylist wants to use…I wanna peek SO BAD!!!

I saw this today. Very happy for them! They certainly deserve it!
I love their home, it is truly beautiful. I think that you couldn't help but feel light and calm and serene in their home. My favorite project is the bead board bench. The fact that they made it from a headboard is genius. I love the beadboard as well. I am a sucker for anything beadboard! Congrats to them
Isn't it so exciting! I loved her Page & Palette sign so much that I contracted Susie Harris and am having a custom sign of my own made!
Seriously awesome! Great house, great couple, great talent…the whole package! Can't wait to see the new magazine 🙂
Her kitchen is probably my all-time fave! I cannot wait to see the article. I didn't know you were a nestie. I tend to hang on my home board but I lurk often and sometimes participate over at D&R. You ladies have got mad talent!
I am a HUGE fan of Layla and The Lettered Cottage and I'm really looking forward to seeing the feature in the magazine! I can't pick a favorite TLC project…they all just keep getting better and better.
How sweet! It sounds very exciting!
Hugs, Lisa
