I haven’t shared my auction, estate sale, thrift store and yard sale finds in quite a while so I thought I’d catch up.
- Set of two vintage gallery wrapped framed prints with apple green frames. I love the feminine, vintage girl and think these will be a great addition to a gallery wall.
- Set of two brass lamps got a coat of Valspar’s spray paint in SATIN SUMPTUOS PURPLE. It just so happens my niece has purple bedding so we’ll be giving her new room a fun and glamorous new look. Check out this inspiring bedroom makeover from Courtney (discovered via Young House Love) that’s given us ideas for Angel’s room.
- Beautiful accent table with hidden drawer. Bri will be painting this for her sister’s teeny tiny apartment.
- Set of two distressed coral/red metal roosters which now decorate the bulkhead in the kitchen. Perfect color – no work!
- Vintage typewriter in aqua. Ali found this and it’ll be a super cute accent piece for her new apartment.
- Owl plaque (painted the same pretty purple as the set of lamps) for my niece’s room.
- A cabinet with pull out shelving – perfect for cable box and DVD player with a makeover in the near future and the beautiful hardware. Right now they’re out in the open. I prefer hidden tv components.
- Bronze cup/vase and bronze horse. Just couldn’t pass these by. Love the shiny bronze color.
Ali {isn’t she cute?} snapped this picture of us at the estate auction, unsuspecting me and Bri in the background…girls days are so much fun!
Cant’ wait to share the makeovers and everything in their places. Some things are for our home, some for my relocating home sister’s rental house and a few items for my daughter’s soon-to-be-home apartment. I have more to share tomorrow. Do you have some awesome finds, thrifty treasures or repurposed DIY to share? Link up to the DIY Project Parade to show off! Let’s see!
I’m partying here:
OMG ok first off I would wrestle you for those Roosters, love those. Can’t wait to see them on your bulk head. Also love love love the bronze cup & horse. Thanks for sharing!! I love when you share your thrifty finds.
I came over from FB to see the aqua typewriter with my own two eyes.
And there it, in living color, on your page. Ali absolutely simply must put a quote in it in. “Ali’s super cool apartment. Bring coffee.”
sigh.

Holy moly – I have to follow you one day on your estate sale trips. So many beautiful things 🙂 I love that your daughter is getting her own apartment – I remember when jonathan got his apartment and how excited we all were for him. Sadly now all I think about are the horrible images from that worst-day-of-my-life when i saw the devastation in that same apartment. I wish your daughter all the happiness in the world in her new place.
Diane! It’s so good to “see” you. You’re often in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you a {hug}. I’m so glad you stopped by.
And I’d love for you to join me someday.
I just love seeing other peep’s finds and fun! Would you maybe mention what you paid for some of these treasures??? … it is a kick to know what prices are in different parts of the country. Plus, it gives me a reference if I find a super cute little spindled table… LOVE THAT! Thank You!
Thanks, Mary. The spindled legs table was $35 at an estate auction. A little pricier than we’d normally pay but still a great price. The auctioneer started the bidding at $250. lol
The wooden molds were free. Yes – free! It was the last day of an semi-annual yard sale at this place that has the best junk. Globe $3. Lamp shade $1.99 at a thrift store…anyway, yes! I usually do include the prices I pay and will remember to do that. This time around, I was behind so I can’t remember. lol!
