With a low budget family room renovation in progress, I need to give some old pieces a new look. As I’m looking through some creative projects, this gorgeous transformation submitted by Gabbi at Retro Ranch Reno is definitely an inspiration.
Gabbi removed all of the original hardware and sanded the surface to roughen things up for primer.
Then she spent some time choosing the perfect color.
Her entire dining room is lovely but doesn’t that buffet look beautiful sporting a new color? Love the old hardware! Gabbi – I love it! Thank you so much for sharing. You can see more from Gabbi at
Have you painted something lately? I’d love for you to link your painted piece to the DIY Project Parade…I need some ideas! 😉
WOW! That is really beautiful. I am hoping to paint my buffet this summer 🙂
I love that color and style. Beautiful!
Wow! Its amazing how crisp and clean it looks! I’m jealous! I have a buffet similar, and I’ve been wanting to repaint it, but our 60 gallon fish tank happens to reside on it, so to do that would also mean emptying it all out and setting up a temporary home for all our fishies. But maybe this will be my inspiration, as now I’ll be imaging Gabbi’s where mine currently resides! Great job – it’s gorgeous!
I love the color. Perfect finish. Thanks for sharing!
I like the balance of the new color on your buffet with the light fixture and stools on the other side of the room. Such pretty and interesting pops of color and pattern.
WOWSERS! beautiful!
What a beautiful piece! I am on the lookout for one similar to redo this summer.
