It’s been a busy week! My DIY projects this week consisted of making 3 corsages and 2 bouttonierres for prom. As I showed you here, I made a silk corsage for my daughter…
It all started with me making a silk corsage every year for my special needs cousin’s end-of-school-year dinner & dance. This year she’s wearing purple…
I love that she has a special lasting memento with a silk corsage every year. I also take her pictures every year and I spritz her corsage with a perfume or body spray – she loves that.
This year I also made the corsage for my nephew’s prom date…
Materials: Silk flowers, ribbon, gems, wrist corsage thingies (an elastic pearl one or velcro type – found at Michaels or Joann Fabrics). Hot glue. Green florist tape. I use wire cutters if needed.
Here are some more examples of DIY wrist corsages…

Oh Roeshel..it's bittersweet isn't it? Thinking of our babies being old enough for proms and graduations. My son will be a senior next year..and I'm not sure if I'm ready for this. The corsages are so beautiful and a wonderful memento of a fun time! As always, thank you for hosting such a lovely party!
