Thank you so much for having me.
I adore Roeshel–her style and grace are a special treat.
I am blessed to call her a friend.
Thanks for having me Roeshel!
I will tell you a little about me-In case you have never been to my site:
I am married and have 4 great kiddos.
I home school as well.
We currently live in SW Florida but we are from the Midwest and consider it home.
I have a fun party that starts each Sunday – it is open all week long.
DIY — LOVE LOVE LOVE DIY projects.
(I am one of the gals on the DIY Club too.)
Today I am going to show you a project I worked on for a bathroom theme that I came up with.
{The bathroom is not completed yet-it’s a work in progress.}
My husband is in school to become a nurse anesthesis and I thought a Vintage Apothecary Spa theme would be fun and relaxing. So where to begin–that was the question of the day.
PROJECT NUMBER 1–I decided that we needed a SPA SIGN.
It needed big bold lettering.
It needed cool hooks to hang a SPA BAG.
Every SPA sign needs a SPA BAG right?
It needed to look vintage, shabby and chic.
I love how it turned out. Head on over to The DIY Club for the full tutorial on how to make this cool signage.
We also have a coupon code (on the side bar) for 40% off custom lettering at Say It On The Wall over at the DIY Club.
To recreate this project you will need:
DecoArt Raw Umber and White Paint
I ordered my hooks from Rockler
They have amazing products. These hooks were only $6.29 each.
I ordered my SPA vinyl from Say It On The Wall
It is a SPECIAL ORDER head over to for a special deal on this vinyl
(Look for the SPA Button on the side bar)
a paint brush
A sanding bug or some sand paper
a little spakling
a recepticle for your paint–an old bowl will do
water
2 x 4
1 x 4
wood trim
saw
clamps

Great giveaway! Thanks so much for hosting it. The first DIY for spring would have to be a yard cleanup. When the snow finally melts, there'll be branches to drag to the burn pile, and things I forgot to put away last fall that need cleaning or repair.
I'm a new follower over there, too.
That little birdie is adorable! Yes, I'm a follower!
My projects almost always involve paint! Can't wait for warmer weather!
Hey ladies–I am at Busch Gardens today but I will be checking in to answer questions or comment back.
Thanks for having me Roeshel.

I cannot wait for summer! I saw my daffodils were up to 3" high yesterday, then it snowed 12" last night. 🙂 I will be out in the yard loving every minute of the warm weather.
Thanks for introducing Cheri. I'm heading over to her site now.
Have a great day.

Spring cleaning, lots and lots of spring cleaning!
I plan on using the looking glass spray paint on an old window to make it into a mirror!
I think my first spring project will be digging up some plants from our "garden" – I hope our house will sell & we will be able to move- with the dug up plants! ( & a cute little bird if I win)-Dee
I'm a follower now too!-Dee
Wow I love the bird, so cute and would be a great addition to any spring decor.
My first project, which I actually have planned for tonight, will be to create a bunny garland for my mantle! I saw a cute pattern online and am hoping to replicate it to add some fun spring color into my house.
I am also now a follower of Cheri's cute site!
I follow Cheri.
First spring DIY has to be when I able to break out the spray paint. Can't wait!
This Spring, it's time for a huge cleaning! And also taking care of the outdoors and plant some flowers around the house!

My DIY project is to make my own birdcage (purley coincidental!). I can't afford the antique looking ones so I'm going to use all the wire I've been collecting.

I live in Hawaii, so there's no real 'spring' here, but I do need to plant flowers in our new quarters! 😀
Cleaning up the outdoors and revamping furniture!

I have a big ugly brown hutch in my dining room that I want to paint!
I can't wait to get out in the dirt! Lots of flowers and veggies.

As soon as we move in May I'll actually have a garage so where I can strip and paint my Buffet! It needs a serious change from red to White and I'm thinking of trying to glaze it. Plus a whole laundry list of furniture that has been waiting to get done for a the last few months! Painting in our spare bedroom is just no fun 😛
I plan to declutter my basement!
My first project is going to be our window boxes. They need some serious sprucing up–and one still needs to be attached to the house. 🙂
Thanks for the giveaway.
