What I love about this DIY makeover from Cassie at Hi Sugarplum is that she didn’t intentionally set out to give her bathroom a makeover. It just evolved. As she says, one day she decided to paint stripes. Then decided that the vanity would look better dark and one thing led to another and several months later, she has a new look to her bathroom. I love this quote: “And did I mention there wasn’t really a budget either, since I wasn’t technically ‘making it over?’ Yay for paint and bargain accessories!” Well – that works for me because take a look!
Here is her bathroom before:
And beautiful new after:
I have a striped bathroom too. I love the subtle stripes!
She framed her mirror and gave the light fixture, paper holder and toilet handle a coat of brushed nickel spray paint – easy updates that look awesome!
Dark espresso cabinet looks completed new with paint job and Anthropologie knobs…
Inexpensive DIY art and bargain accessories…
She let her son pick out the faucet and he chose a waterfall style. Makes washing hands and brushing teeth more fun!
I love side by side comparisons. Isn’t this a great transformation?
What a difference! It’s beautiful, Cassie. It’s amazing how just a little paint and details can make all of the difference! LOVE it! If you’d like more specifics on Cassies’s bathroom makeover, click here.

Well, it was pretty before but a WOW after the re-do. Great job! Diana
I think I clicked out too soon before and my post didn't go through. What I said was that while the room was nice enough before (and quite lovely) the makeover took it to a WOW! She did a great job! Diana
