I wish I personally could vanity with pride but the remaining vanities in our two unfinished bathrooms are shameful. So, I’m just day dreaming today. I have been keeping my eye open for a buffet or dresser or table that can become a future DIY project when we’re ready to remodel the two upstairs bathrooms. I’d love to do something like this one I featured from Chocolate Monday last year:
But, I’ve also been “shopping” for something just my style too either for purchasing or inspiration. Love these options:
What about you? Have you painted an existing vanity? Have you purchased a new one? If you’ve repurposed a piece of furniture into a bathroom vanity, I’d love to see it!

Polywood outdoor furniture is perfect for those that want to display style & sustainability.
Love that look too! Dressers and vanities are so much fun to paint. I don't know why they seem easier than other pieces of furniture! This will be a great look when you re-do your bathroom!

My bathroom reno is on a break until garden season is over.
However, ala ikea hacker I plan on re-doing a kitchen island as my vanity like this in an attempty to end up with a less wide version of this.
But hey when garden season is over I will get back to it, the toilet is sitting in a box right beside my computer and has been for a couple months already.
These are beautiful. I love the white distressed ones.
Yes I have reused a dining room buffet for a vanity. I bought it for $40.00 at a thrift store. I used it when we had to remodel our bathroom in our other house. Now I'm looking for just the perfect smaller one for a bathroom re-do in the house we now live in. I'm gonna do it again!

We thought we were taking the easy way out by buying a new one, but it turned into a huge mess with the special orders from the store. I love how it looks, but it took months to get it! I think if you can, you're better off just fixing up an old one : )
I like how you day dream!
Your daydream is similar to one of mine! I too have been looking for just the right dresser or buffet to replace the vanity in my master bathroom. I like the one in the first picture but especially like the set up in the second picture.

It only cost $20 and made a huge impact. Good luck with yours!
