And I scored a pair of these chairs for $50.
$50 on fabric.
$20 on electric staple gun
$5 on staples
$5 on tack strips
I already had the pillows, (but I should note that they came from a garage sale for $5…don’t they fit perfectly?!)
Who knows how to upholster? I guess I do now. I didn’t invest much in the chairs, so I wasn’t terrified to take them apart. The result is fabulous!
Don’t be afraid to try new things, gals!
(ps-the chair is still on a sawhorse in the picture…it doesn’t actually have long crazy legs!) I took the chairs in to a local upholsterer for a big and he said $400 per chair + fabric.
Add the cost of the chairs to that and it would be $450 per chair!
I spent $65 on each, They are still in excellent shape almost a year later, and now I don’t care if my kids love on them. Can you imagine the wreck I’d be if I’d dropped $900 on these bad boys? No thanks, I’ll do it myself 🙂
And YOU can DIY, too!
