Before and After Hall Closet/Desk
Well I couldn’t very well let a perfectly good space go to waste so I repurposed the space into a…….
I’m using it to store tubs with each of the boys’ names on them. These are holding all those little projects they bring home from church, pre-school, and first grade. They’ve all just been stacking up in random places all around the house and it was time for some organizing.
It’ll be a great little spot for wrapping last minute gifts or writing thank-you cards or storing checks for last minute pizza delivery dinners (ok so, I live in BFE and pizza’s joints don’t deliver herem but still!) I could go on.
Plus…
It’s a great place to re-charge my computer when I’m not dragging it around the house working on editing photos or writing new blog posts.
Eventually the bead board will be painted a creamy white and the walls will be a beautiful sage green.
Isn’t it a great little space. I’m in love.
And a little before and after side-by-side…
I love it! (and the orange!) my bff has a slightly bigger one and calls it his cloffice (closet office) rofl…

Great idea!!! I wish I had such a cute little closet to turn into something like this!
I love a good closet redo!!
I not only love the idea, but you did a fabulous job to make the cranny look warm and inviting. I love it!
wonderful job! thx 4 sharing
What a terrific idea…I never would have thought!! I love it! WOOT!!! 😉

Gorgeous, what a great use of the space. The little lamp and star are my favorite parts!
This is so clever!! I should do this in my living room closet. It's not as if the hubs actually hangs his coat in there. The back of a chair is his favorite spot to hang his coat! Wish we had the space for a mudroom!
That is such a great idea! I also love when people make their closets into little lockers or benches where they can take their shoes off. So cute!
XOXO

Thanks for the feature! I'm still in love with the closet and use it often! 🙂
i love it! so cute!
Very clever! You're lucky there was a plug already in the closet!
Seriously, this is so cool!!!! It's a mini home office inside a wall! I'm bookmarking this one, thanks for the genius idea!
@Emily, there wasn't a plug in the closet. While we were doing other renovations I asked the electrician to add an outlet in this space because I knew I wanted to make it a desk area eventually!
Such a good use of this space.. I wanted to mention, add a wall socket for re-charging or a little radio… nice!

What a great re-do! It's out of the way, and it's precious!
