Do you have a fall post to share this week? I‘d love to see it! I don’t have a fall/Halloween DIY project to share this week as I have been working on redoing our main bathroom and our German exchange student has arrived. 🙂 She’s so sweet. Today while the guys were watching football, we made a trip to the pumpkin patch. Here is a picture of her (middle) with my daughters:
Did you know Julia is pronounced “Yulia” in German?
And I picked up a few pumpkins and Indian corn…
Here are my Fall/Halloween vignettes – check out other sweet vignettes at
Do you have a Fall/Halloween DIY project? Link up and show it off! I’d love to see it!
- A blog party on M
ondays during the autumn season - Autumn/Fall inspired DIY projects
How can I join?
- Create a blog post about an Autumn/Fall project that you’ve done
- Add your blog name and project to Mcklinky (example: The DIY Show off – House # Pumpkins)
- Type in the permalink address, not your basic blog address. A permalink is the address that links directly to your specific post. (example: http://thediyshowoff.blogspot.com/2009/08/house-number-pumpkins)
- You must use The DIY Show Off Fall Festival button and link back to The DIY Show Off Fall Festival post so that everyone gets to join in the fun. Here is the button or use the html code on the left side bar.
- Grab the button/html code on the left side bar and insert into your blog post to let others know you’re joining the fun.
- I’ll be posting The DIY Show Off Fall Festival on Mondays and try to start the party sometime on the prior Sunday evening.
- Although a tutorial is helpful, it’s not required. Anything autumn related and DIY is permitted.
- Please follow all steps above or your link won’t be posted. 🙁
- If you’ve been inspired by something you see here – show us what you did too!
- Enjoy and be inspired!
- If your linking – I’ll DEFINITELY be stopping by to check it out and comment. One of the fun things about a smaller party is there’s time to visit with everyone participating, right? I really enjoy seeing all of your creative ideas and inspiration and leaving you a personal note.
The girls looked like they were having fun! Ah, to be young again!
Wonderful vignettes, especially like the skull and the raven! That's a cool dish and cover!!
Your decor is star quality!!

Oh my gosh, they look like they are instant friends. How great!
Okay. Are you sitting down? Because I know you're going to find this shocking. I DO NOT have a project done to ad to the Fall Project party! Amazing. 🙂 Your new friend looks like a sweetie/cutie pie (and so do your daughters). Glad you had a fun time at the pumpkin patch!

What a coincidence…my sister just returned from Germany….she was there serving an LDS mission, and after 18 months she returned home to us this past Saturday…she absolutely loved it and loved the German people…I hope you all have a great time with your exchange student…so fun! And since I am at my mom's (in Seattle) I decided to display some of her decor for your "festival"…have a great week….:)
Aw, Julia looks nice! Looks like she is getting along swimmingly with your girls already, is this the first time you all met her?! Have fun!!
Oh what fun! I don't think I've ever really seen full on pictures of Ali and Bri before. They are remarkably beautiful, btw. So is Julia. Oh, poor Russ. Now he has to worry about another teenage girl for awhile. 😉

Love your vignettes. They are fabulous!!! And Julia looks like she is fitting in nicely.
What a great post! I found your link through A Soft Place to Land and have loved checking everything out today. Hard to believe that so many different and absolutely wonderful blogs link up in one place every week.
I have so much to learn. 🙂

OK, so I've had this vision for my family room that we'll some day get a flat screen tv and put it on the fireplace mantle. My hubby thinks that's a bad idea–that the tv will melt or get smoke damage or something if it's above the fireplace/wood burning stove, which we use throughout the cold months. What can you tell me about having your own tv on the fireplace mantle?? I'd love to hear how it's been from someone who has done what I want to do with their tv. Oh, and all your Fall decorations are FABULOUS!!
Your vignettes are so cute! I so wish I had gotten around to a fall makeover project! Been busy with lots of stuff but nothing fall themed! Your stuff makes me pea green with envy!
Just finished a retro kitchen for my daughter and used our old laundry closet for her new digs. It is cute but not fall!
Love your blog! Now Following!
Your girls are beautiful, thank for sharing these great pictures! And all of the Halloween/Fall decorations look amazing!
Have a great day!
Spooky crow vignette, but very cool!
