Sarah from Comfort and Joy took a completely empty apartment, an inspiration photo and recreated the look her way and on the cheap. It looks awesome!
Here is her inspiration photo:
She talks about her gallery wall more in depth on her blog along with more fabulous DIY projects, inspiration and design boards. It was completely DIY. She was lucky enough to get a discarded copy of Audubon’s birds of America and with a little cutting, framing and arranging, her bird wall was born.

I love taking inspiration and making it work in my own personal space. Sarah, you did an incredible job at making your gallery wall every bit as beautiful as your inspiration. Love it!
Oh my.. What a gorgeous transformation.. I'm off to check her blog.

Oh, this lady did a wonderful job. I believe her birds are prettier than the ones in her inspiration photo! Thanks for sharing this and I'll go over and check out her blog.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia 😉
what a nice job, I love it!
you know, i have looked and looked and looked at this, and while I love it,… it misses something…
today i figured it out looking at your inspiration picture a bit more.
it is:
one or more dashes of color, could be anything from teal, orange to tomato red….
here:
just 1 pillow, a tiny object on that little corner stand with the same color, and/or a tassel hanging from the lamp with that color.
anyhow, just a thought….
what do you think? food for thought, or an idea for the birds?? ha ha…
cheers!
