I knew Kate from Twenty Six to Life had some awesome DIY skills because I’ve shown off some of her beautiful furniture transformations but when you see her gorgeous guest bedroom transformation, you’ll agree that she has some awesome design skills too! Here is her amazing guest bedroom makeover:
Guest Bedroom Revealed!
I’m finally done. This room no longer looks like this …
Now it looks like this …
It took me awhile, but all the pieces have finally come together and I got it done.
And hitting the halfway point …
To scoring a free light fixture …
Sewing great pillows covers …
Making a custom DIY headboard …
Refinishing thriftstore nightstands …
Finding a place for my favorite refinishing project …
And applying a full wall of decals …
The nightstands are ready for guests. A couple lamps, an alarm clock, and something to read.
The mirrors above reflect the birch tree decals on the opposite wall.
And there’s a few more books on the other side of the room.
So this room is all done …
I love her DIY upholstered headboard. I love the rescued night stands and colorful pillows in a room with fresh, soothing grays and white. The birch wall art is awesome and I love how the mirrors reflect the birch trees. GREAT job, Kate! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful transformed guest bedroom. Looks like all that’s missing is a guest – I’m packing my bags! 🙂
Wow! And again, let me say WOW! I LOVE the idea of the cheapie door mirrors on the wall (at least I am assuming they are cheapie door mirrors)
This looks great!!! Love the color scheme!
Sheri – Yup! They are cheapie door mirrors! I only paid $7 for both of them!
What a transformation. The room is not recognizable!!! I love the burst of turquoise and the fantastic birch wall decor. Really nice!
That is one amazing transformation. I would love to e a guest in that room.
Wow…that looks great! I just bought a white down comforter set for staging a house. I thought maybe I made a mistake buying white, but now I see that I didn't. Thanks for sharing such a great room redo. I enjoyed my visit.

It's GORGEOUS! I love the trees on the wall!
I love the birch decals! Birch tress themselves are so gorgeous, and this really adds to the relaxation mood of the room.

Barbara – I think I used Behr's Sparrow paint, it was either that or Behr's Anonymous. Sorry I can't tell you for sure right now – I don't have the paint can in front of me! If you want to send me an email at twenty.six.to.life@gmail.com I will look it up for you and get back to you as soon as I can! I will also update my blog post with the paint color later as well. 🙂
Amazing!
Gorgeous – I love the punches of turquoise on the bed – nice touch. And the birch trees on the opposite wall – WOW!
