What’s all the HOOPla? DIY Hoop Art Tutorial

My friend Amanda from

Mommy is Coocoo

created  a wall of beautiful art using embroidery hoops and pretty fabrics. Super easy and affordable do-it-yourself to fill up an empty wall space. So many options for making a design for a custom color palette and space.

Materials:

  • Fabricfabric scraps
  • Embroidery Hoopsembroidery hoops

Tutorial:

  • Simply stretch fabric in embroidery hoops, trim to size and hang. Amanda recommends not putting a whole lot of thought into it. Sometimes a random surprise is the best plan. fabric hoop art tutorial

DIY Project Parade ~ vintage inspired craft room/office reveal

I think I’ve only shared a peek of my craft/office space in the past. I challenged my flu-fighting self to clean it up yesterday in order to accomplish something. It sometimes quickly becomes a dumping ground for everything craft related. Note, this is a tiny room…so while it looks like I may border on ‘hoarder’, it is all organized!  I confess, it’s not only craft supplies but just things I like and things that I might find a use for in the future. It is a lot crammed into one small room.

Meet Sarah from 2159. A new homeowner with a DIY drive to make her new home her own. She’s off to an awesome start!  Here are some great projects.  Click the link to the original post for more details on her creativity and fun eclectic style.

Coffee Table Cutie

Yikes! This coffee table before has seen better days…

but underneath all that wear and tear is a good solid beauty. Sarah wanted something with character and after a little DIY creative ingenuity, I’d say she succeeded…

Oh-la-la framed print pizzazz! Sarah added a little lace to update mats.

Before: I see potential!

STUNNING! Is this really the same house?

Love the fun colors and beautiful board and batten/picture rail….

Check out that beautiful ceiling!
