DIY Project Parade

If you have a DIY project to share this week, please do so. I enjoy seeing your creativity. You’re inspiring. And I look forward to visiting you.

We’re all remembering the children and educators lost on December 14, 2012, at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. My heart is broken. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and community.

I came across this site: Hugs for Sandy, where you can upload and share your children’s thoughts, pictures and letters for the Sandy Hook Elementary School community. I think it’s something my girls would have liked to have contributed to when they were younger, a way to show their love. Beth from Home Stories A to Z also shared advice and thoughts on ‘how to talk to your kids about school shootings‘. A Google search showed several ways to donate in order to help.

If you haven’t seen it this past week, I revealed our sitting room at Christmas time. It’s a place where the sun shines when it rises, a peaceful little area in our home. It’s where you’ll find me in the mornings with a cup of tea and a thankful heart {as well as a heavy heart, prayers and tears the past few days}.

I will share highlights from last week’s party this coming week. Thank you for stopping by today. Thank you always for your friendship, support and for visiting today. I’m sending you the BIGGEST hug, dear friends.
