Meet Robin from
Robin is a fairly new blogger who blogs about enjoying every day life. She recently gave her master bedroom a closet a makeover.
The “after” is so organized!
The original closet was built by the builder. Here is the boring before…
The closet is rectangle-sized (about 124 inches by 73 inches). Basically, it was very normal, underachieving, mess-of-clutter closet…..until this project.

Robyn designed a new layout for the closet and ordered it online from an assemble-on-your-own site.
The new paint color and hanging the vertical panels on the track. |
She cleaned out the closet, found several things to donate to Goodwill, and repainted.
Here are some shots of the progress….
Again, the final results….
So neat and organized! I love the crown molding and the drawers! See the full post with SO much more information from Robyn at Everyday a la Mode. She has some fun DIY projects worth checking out:

She did a really fantastic job. We have nothing like this in England. Walk-in closets are for the rich 🙂 However, you can save space in any scenario if you know how to organise and pack. I love those little boxes on the shelf. They’re really useful to de-clutter because the hold so much, and look attractive at the same time.
This is a fab makeover.
Thank you, Anne, for the awesome compliments! The project really maximized the space! We are very happy with how the project turned out!
Closet of my dreams!!!
Thank you, Jan! I had been planning the project for a while. It is finally my dream come true!
I love her new shelving system! I’d love to get rid of the wire shelving in my closet someday (after I finish the rest of the house). For now I just organized it and made it pretty. I love a nice organized closet!
Thank you, Carmel! The list of sources is on the original post. I’m very frugal but I also want quality. I found this shelving system met both requirements.
Ahh I love it! Where did she get her closet system from? I need to do mine and I can’t decide the best place to purchase…
Jenna Sue – I’m hoping she’ll stop by later today when she is aware that she’s being featured! 😉 Her original post says she designed a new layout for the closet and ordered it online from an assemble-on-your-own site that cost alot less than the other closet companies of similar quality and she had used them before in a prior house several years ago and was happy with the results. But there’s no link. It’s a fabulous closet!
Hi Jenna Sue! Thank you for the awesome comment! I just checked my email today and found out I was featured! (Thank you, DIY Showoff!) All of the sources are listed at the bottom of the original post at http://www.everydayalamode.com/2011/12/master-closet-redo.html .
I have updated the post with the link to the company’s site. (I’m not affiliated with them in any way.) We found this shelving system to be a better cost than others and the quality is good. Their site also has a design tool where you put in your measurements and details you want. We are very happy with the project. Thanks again!
Love the custom design. Fabulous. I have closet envy. Hugs, Marty
Thank you, Marty! I also have an envy for awesome closets! Now I smile when I enter my own closet!
